Only just seen this content, despite it being a week old. Just wanted to share for those who haven’t seen. Found it very insightful.

So he's happy to go and explain how wrong they are?

With regards to Rate the Ref and particularly ‘Fitness and Positioning,’ check his run to put himself in the best possible position to see the handball shout.

Really interesting and good to hear ref reasoning into his decisions
Ref seems switched on and wouldn’t be surprised to see him a regular feature in the prem soon

Looked up the match stats. No cards issued in what would have been two teams going for promotion

A rare event for him. He averages around 5 cards every game. He’s one being pushed through by Howard Webb but he’s receiving a lot of criticism for a number of perceived poor performances.
He’s had his first two Championship games this year. He did Millwall v Oxford last month and Norwich v Derby this month. This is just his second season in the league.
We’ve already seen the result of pushing referees too quickly. Think Backhouse & Kitchen.

He's only 26/27. Needs a lot more lower league experience before being considered for a step up.

He won’t get it though, he’s been earmarked. Same with Farai Hallam. Only refereed a handful of games before this season, literally a handful, and already pushed into the Championship.

I really only hope they are being earmarked & “fast tracked” for their abilities and not for other reasons.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 2:24 pmHe won’t get it though, he’s been earmarked. Promoting them early in order to increase the quota of BAME would be detrimental to both those individuals and the overall game

Hallam is the strange one. Doesn’t appear to have worked his way up through the leagues at all but he works for the FA in the department that identifies referees with potential.
