Re: MAN UTD v FULHAM
Looking very ordinary, Fulham are untroubled, so far.
The poorer half of Manchester aren't enjoying things at the moment.
It's not raining so, can't tell if they've got the council to fix the roof.

Another half hour.
That'll please the coach loads of excited Nippon tourists, waving their 'Complete Guide to Football' pamphlets.

I've been watching him as well. Rarely sprints, just strolls around, always in the right place to receive a pass. Almost Beckenbaueresque.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 6:40 pmBerge has looked the most cultured player on view.

Re: MAN UTD v FULHAM
He's had his career damaged quite badly by going to Sheff Utd. Dumped out on the right wing then had to play a seaspn in the Championship.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 6:38 pmLove watching Berge play.......there's no shaking him off the ball & never makes a bad pass.
He's an absolutely top class holding midfielder. Itd be quite a midfield in my all time Burnley 11 with Berge Cork and Defour.

Excellent article on Berge in the Grauniad.

Speaks very highly of his former boss, Vincent Kompany.

Re: MAN UTD v FULHAM
Interesting interview with Berge. Not sure what to make of Kompany now. After thinking he was a tactical genius in the promotion season I then began to have major doubts as we were relegated and moved to outright disdain after watching his ridiculous effing and jeffing in Mission to Burnley 2.
Berge’s praise now moves me back the other way …just can’t get those rubbish Sunday League team talks out if my
mind though !

Re: MAN UTD v FULHAM
That can't be right, apparently he was arrogant, made everything about himself and a crap manager that got us over 100 points in the division we are in now.ClaretLoup wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 9:21 pmExcellent article on Berge in the Grauniad.
