Clean sheet stats / records
May have gone unnoticed after the barrage of goals last night but after that game:
We are now only behind Man Utd for the most successive clean sheets in English football.
We have matched the championship record of 25 clean sheets in a season
James Trafford has matched the clean sheet record of Paddy Kenny of 24 in a single season.
Still on course for:
14 successive clean sheets set by Man Utd - 1311 mins (we are on 1090). If all goes to plan, we could break this record after the 42nd minute in the WBA home game.
Only 2 clean sheets off the EFL record of 27 in a season.
Still on course to break the championship record of 30 conceded in a season
Still on course to break Chelsea's record of least amount of goals conceded in a single season - 15 (If we do this it would be remarkable)

The only record I want to see is the table after 46 games with us 1st or 2nd

That is the one that matters most, for sure. But I wouldn't be unhappy to see us write new entries in the record books as a bonus.

Champions is the remembered stat and most rewarding.
We were extremely lucky not to concede lady night. Hope the luck continues.
Are we 23 undefeated as well? Or is it 21 and a couple of FA Cup results?

Re: Clean sheet stats / records
Chelsea only played 38 matches.
Re: Clean sheet stats / records
If we break all these records and don't finish in the top 2, it will all have been a waste of effort.

Re: Clean sheet stats / records
the record of ours I want to see broken this season is 11 wins in a row, we have the capability.
with that would follow a probable Championship win - a third in 3 seasons at this level which I think would be a record.
If we break the win record we will also break our unbeaten run record which currently stands at 30

Re: Clean sheet stats / records
Another potential record to add to the list would be going through a season without ever conceding more than 1 goal in a match. That would be truly incredible and something that the amazing Chelsea 05 or Liverpool 79 teams never managed.
Re: Clean sheet stats / records
Another record we're getting close to is the most number of different goalscorers in a Championship season. I think Blackpool hold the record with 22 in 2010/11, we're currently on 20 although of the current outfield regulars there's really only Hannibal and Pires who haven't scored yet so we'd likely be relying on some goals off the bench from the likes of Ash and Shelvey.

I'm guessing at this but - if promoted - would Ash be the first ever player to be promoted to the PL 4 times with the same club....?
