A bit random, but I've accidentally paid a supplier into their old bank account - they changed in January, I'd added their new details but not deleted the old one, so of course I paid them into the wrong account at the month end.
The money has left me, but not gone to them. I realise I'm at fault, but I can't find any help on the app or online banking about recovering the money I paid incorrectly.
Has anyone any idea before I have to go through the rigmarole of ringing them up and trying to remember all the security questions?

There's a 3 year redirection period if they used the proper switching service through their new bank, so it's probably on its way but with an extra step or two.
Keep checking with your supplier, they should still get it.

I have done this a few times myself.
If the supplier has closed the account then it should bounce back to you. Can take anything between 2 days and a week.
