Operation Empty Ewood
Latest ‘protest’ idea put forward by the plastics now their season has ended. Not sure anyone would really notice if no one turned up to their next home game!

Re: Operation Empty Ewood
Is the Riverside always full then?
Because they give these 'gates' & on tv there are loads of empty seats. Always looks less than what they publish.

Yes it is ... Rovers have a 30000+ Stadium ... they have give us sh!t about 1500 crowds in the 80's when Deadwood were getting 5000 gates ... they have shut 2 stands due to the apathy of plastic fans ... we were 2.5k down v West Brom who brought 1500 not 2500 ... they keep telling us how they won the Premiership 30 yrs ago ... which is as relevant as our 1st div win 66 yrs ago ... its funny Ac

Blackburn is, it must be said, a bigger town than Burnley.
Re: Operation Empty Ewood

Population of blackburn 154,000, Population of Burnley 70, ooo plus, and we both have our catchment areas....yep I agree Boss, crap support from them down the roadBosscat wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 7:56 pmYes it is ... Re: Operation Empty Ewood
My dad actually commented on how small the West Brom away following compared to what they usually bring to the turf. Obviously the midweek live matches is the reason for drop in attendance.

Re: Operation Empty Ewood
I’m not too bothered how many turn up at Ewood but what I do know is that if they win all their remaining games they will still have less points than we have now.

Re: Operation Empty Ewood
Unnfortunately, we may still need them to have play-off interest when they play The Blades in the last game.
The way they're going that's not gonna happen.

Re: Operation Empty Ewood
Burnley borough population is 96000. Blackburn with Darwen is 146000. Easy to check the last census. Your argument is still correct though.
Re: Operation Empty Ewood
Staggering, when you consider Ismael was sacked by his last 3 clubs within 12 months. Their forum makes for delightful reading this morning, many already want him out and think he has lost the dressing room. Next season could be very tricky for them.Stonehouse wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 8:52 pmApparently the new manager has a three and a half year contract.

Lost 3 of their last 3 championship games stretching over 8 days
Burnley lost 3 of their last 42 games stretching over 23 months

Ishmael is on a contract until 2028. He might be just the man to get them promoted from League Two.

Excellent stuff. He'll cost them a fair bit when they pot him. It was only a matter of time before they picked a duffer.Stonehouse wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 8:52 pmApparently the new manager has a three and a half year contract.

I’ve watched the highlights package just to hear the booing at the final whistle.
So glad the lino had his eyes open when the ref gave them a late pen for a handball by Gueye.
Rightly overturned.

We dont need them to have an interest in anything. We should be able to deal with it all ourselves without having to rely on othersdougcollins wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 9:03 pmUnnfortunately, we may still need them to have play-off interest when they play The Blades in the last game.
