Interesting fella, for sure. Transfer to Burnley starts at around 57 minutes in, some wonderful insights behind the scenes.

Unfortunately you have to listen to Chris Brown and the foul mouthed Jon Parkin doing the podcast too.

another with a lot of very good things to say for Eddie Howe. Training was next level apparently.

Clearly a brilliant manager. Given more time he would have been successful here too. He'd basically signed a new squad and was still figuring out the best way to use it.

Very good manager, but at Burnley, he’d have never achieved anything anywhere near what his successor did.

He did with Bournemouth so I don't see why not.

I'm never convinced about Howe.

Clearly he got a lot right at Burnley, but there was so much that he got wrong too.

At least he left us in the right place for Dyche to take over and crack on. We can't complain.

It’s entirely possible that Howe made mistakes at Burnley, but generally speaking has proven elsewhere to be one of the most talented English managers in the last 25 years.

I actually think the thing that separates him from the rest is he would probably (and I think already has publically) accept that he made mistakes and worked hard on developing himself when he had time away from the game.

To be honest that's one thing that disappointed me about Dyche. I think he let himself down a bit after leaving us. He said in a number of interviews that he wasn't watching much football and he didn't feel it necessary to go and see how other managers worked at home or abroad.

It was a little bit arrogant/complacent that he didn't feel the need to go and improve and is probably the main reason he seems to be getting left behind whilst Howe has continued to thrive.

That's an hour and half I won't get back. Really hard to listen to and said nothing of note.

Re Howe - he's obviously learnt a lot and made changes to his style over the years. That fact he signed Pope, who isn't great with his feet, tells you about his focus on a solid backline rather than playing it out.

Parker will have learnt a lot from his previous jobs, but people would rather go off what Bournemouth and Fulham fans say about him than give him a chance here.

Or make their own minds up after nearly a season of watching his football.
