Re: Tonight’s Football
Rashford stealing a living.
Albeit plays on the other side but I’d rather have Marcus Edwards playing for England than Rashford. Just had one near the end when Rashford gave it to the keeper instead of darting to the byline and pulling back (then Bowen, a far superior player than Rashford, DID dart to the byline and it nearly led to a goal). I wouldn’t have Rashford playing for Burnley, no chance, he’s no desire.

Rees James played for Latvia at schoolboy level so Im guessing its that current fad about not celebrating goals against your old team

Re: Tonight’s Football
This has been a really poor performance. No invention, terrible final product from wingers, full backs not attempting to overlap, static forward players.

Re: Tonight’s Football
CJ got an assist for the 21s after just coming on as a sub.

Luca came on after 71mins and had a shot wide, a shot saved, an assist wide and a fella booked for fouling him. Things might be looking up.

Re: Tonight’s Football
Luckily was out Friday so missed that game and lasted about 25 minutes last night.
Any game is a struggle with Sam Matterface commentating, fair play to those who stuck at it and watched the full game. A qualifying group made up of teams who would struggle against the Jocks (Serbia aside) is hardly a challenge.

Re: Tonight’s Football
Lee Dixon made the point that by not competing effectively in the Nation's League, England have deprived themselves of the chance to be developing against better opposition. Instead they get these uncompetitive games against such as Albania and Latvia with Andorra to come.

Re: Tonight’s Football
Agreed, with the dull showing of England in general and Matterface with his verbal diarrhoea it's a difficult watch and like you I lasted somewhere similar.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 8:05 amLuckily was out Friday so missed that game and lasted about 25 minutes last night.
