A player on a private jet
Can’t believe it hasn’t been mentioned, am guessing a thread may have been deleted, but one of our players has taken to Instagram to picture himself with suitcases and on a private jet.
As a clue, he left some now deleted comments which are bound to get a few tongues wagging. He has form for this.

Foster might be flying home from international duty though. Tresor will be off to Butlins

To be fair, Kyle Poster did leave a comment on it. Some daft fans might apparently not care about him, but it seems the players/his teammates still do.

The only Burnley player I can think of whose name rhymes with Tike Mresor is Mike Tresor. Am I warm?

Unless he means the fact that he has a private jet is the truth, he's probably referring to the fact that people have judged him without knowing all of the facts.
I could be wrong, of course.

As previous, the type of comment that may well get tongue’s wagging.
I suppose it’s fair to say that lots of players have time off in the international break. Not sure if the same is true for those doing rehab or who are injured.

Slick nitpick from an aviation geek, he's not on a private jet, he's flying first class on an Emirates Boeing 777. The little minibar gives it away.

I don't care about Tresor
He don't care about me
All I care about
Is following his movements and posts on social media and then posting about him
Not quite as catchy is it the new version

Re: A player on a private jet
I saw this. There were likes from Redmond, Esteve, Foster and a couple more current players which I found interesting. I think there's a lot more to it than Tresor just refusing to play, he wouldn't have that much player support if it was that

Whatever the lyrics mean from the song he was quoting, the pile on from our supposed supporters does our season no favours (if it upsets some of his buddies in the squad). Redmond had added a face exhaling emoji from what I saw.
Several people had replied to the original post abusing him. There really is no need.

Love the added detail in the OP that he took suitcases onto the plane. Thrilling.
Just seen a couple of people bragging on Twitter about leaving nasty comments on the post. Proper baffling that.

He's still incredibly wealthy whether he's playing or not, why would he fly with the unwashed when he can be in first class

Re: A player on a private jet
It’s either contractual and Pace doesn’t want to pay or mental/physical illness. I just don’t know why the club wouldn’t say it was the latter to get people off his back.

Because maybe in this instance, the player doesnt want it (or whatever it is) to be public knowledge. I think thats fair enough while he's dealing with whatever it is

Re: A player on a private jet
The club never say anything. Recently one of the u21 players returned after being out for ages. They then told us he’d been out with a specific injury. We don’t want details but there is no reason at all why a brief ‘he has a hamstring injury’ type comment can’t be given.
If Trésor is ill or injured then it makes Pace’s comments about him even worse.

To be fair I think saying a player has an injury is fine, there's no obligation to specify.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 12:25 pmThe club never say anything. The problem with Tresor is they are saying nothing at all and it's to absolutely nobody's benefit. Unless there's a legal reason they can't say anything then they really should be sharing something.

Scott Parker said recently that he was out for the foreseeable future but Pace had said he was fit to play but didn’t know whether he would or not. It’s not right and it’s not helping the player at all.Goliath wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 12:37 pmTo be fair I think saying a player has an injury is fine, there's no obligation to specify.

Re: A player on a private jet
My impression of Pace is that when you put a microphone or camera in front of him he gets a bit giddy.
He makes far too much effort to appease the fans and tell them what he thinks they want to hear to satisfy his needs of being regarded as “one of us”.
I think what he said about Tresor definitely falls into this category and I believe he was completely out of order and I’ll go as far as saying he was lying about the situation. All he did was make matters worse.
In terms of being more open about injuries whilst I understand there could be some exceptional cases where this is not possible I believe we could be and should be saying a lot more than we do. Most other clubs do which proves that the exceptional cases where you cannot disclose information really are exceptional. You look at some of the Premier League press conferences that the like of Klopp used to do and they used to go through the injured players one by one and give an update and very often a timescale for return. All you need to do is look at the official FPL Fantasy football site and you will see twice weekly updates on every single club with details on all players out injured and very few have no details around the injury nature or expected return date.
I get some fans are not bothered about the details but the majority of supporters I know are - and especially when we have had a number of very expensive signings (yes money does matter) who have been out for a long time and we have no clue why and when they will be back.

The best thing about this is we've got him for three more years of content on here.
Depends how fast he's spending it I guess - and on the surface it would appear fairly quickly - but he should be well set for life off the back of a few sub appearances at a provincial 2nd division club in northern England. Quite the story.

He might not be playing anywhere for a while. I've no insider knowledge but he clearly has recurring physical or mental problems that he's struggling to overcome. At least I think that's overwhelmingly likely, much more so than some refusal to play.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 1:49 pmSomething tells me he won't be here for three more years.

I don't know, he's started 3 league games in 18 months. Nobody is paying him what he's on now, ever again. He's our Winstone Bogarde, let's just embrace it.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Thu Mar 27, 2025 1:49 pmSomething tells me he won't be here for three more years.
