Pep.
Pep.
How is he escaping criticism?
For me he has let the grass grow under his feet, aging squad that are now looking spent, kevin de bruyne has said he is going end of this season, fantastic player but just reading city are looking for a replacement which for me is at least a season too late.

Should they have sacked him at the end of last season then, when he'd just won the league?!Terrier wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 3:31 pmHow is he escaping criticism?

Re: Pep.
The sooner Pep retires the sooner football will become entertaining. He has produced incredibly effective and brilliant sides but for the most part it's death by 1000 passes and a proper bore.

Perhaps football needs one of those 6th tackle, rugby rules, related to inane passes.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 3:55 pmThe sooner Pep retires the sooner football will become entertaining. Re: Pep.
Time moves on for everyone, his teams were fascinating to watch at first, it was like a new type of football. Then it became mundane. Now it's truly boring and not even as effective anymore.

I think slowly but surely the big centre forward is starting to return to English football..A few teams now use one,.and they are pretty effective..

Re: Pep.
Fidel, what has last season got to do with my point?
City obviously are still good but not great anymore, just have a look at the man utd game, city have become beatable and predictable, for me it's down to pep !

Re: Pep.
It may well be down to him, but you said that changing him was at least a season too late.
If they'd sacked him at the end of last season, after he'd just won the PL yet again, there'd have been riots!
