Tonight's football

Post by ArmchairDetective » Tue Apr 08, 2025 10:05 am

All of us, Leeds and Sheff Utd playing at roughly a similar time tonight. Could be a tense evening.

Leeds away at Boro
Sheff Utd home to Millwall

Could be one or two banana skins there.

Them down the road at home to Sheff Weds. Both teams prone to meltdowns and drama at the moment. Hoping it's the home team that continues theirs!

Also a couple of big European matches on for those interested.

I reckon one of SPs main jobs tonight (as every game, I suppose) will be to get the lads to concentrate on the matter in hand, namely beating Derby and ignoring what's happening elsewhere. Nowt we can do about their games anyway.

UTC.

Suspect our game will be a similar test to Sheff United’s at Oxford on Saturday. A poor pitch, high balls into the box and robust defending from the home side. I thought I saw their approach to attacking set pieces described ‘an uncontrolled herd of cows’….and that was by THEIR fans.

Crap pitch and a side second only to us in the current 5 game form standings.
Be a tough game tonight.
Looking forward to it!

Worry about Derby there's no point in trying to get promoted with what lies ahead next season....Go and smash them, show them we're top for a reason and a far better side that they faced earlier in the season..

If Boro can level, today's point would look much brighter.

From the 5 minutes I've watched Boro seem happy with the point, except for the fact they're not actually drawing...

They're worse in front of goal than us!

Do the Blades actually WANT to go up?
