striker

I said in January window with jay leaving we definitely needed a new striker now with it looking like Foster is going to be out we have to rely on Fleming who can't play last game against Millwall and Barnes to get us over the line , what's your thoughts...

My thoughts are that a decent Championship striker who is guaranteed to bag the goals needed to get you up costs an awful lot of money in January, and when you don't know what league you are going to be in next year, it creates a large liability risk you may not need.

We already had a number of strikers, we can talk about it until the cows come home. I would've loved us to bring a £20 mill player in, or spend a fortune on a loan from the the Prem or Europe, but maybe, just maybe...... we didn't have millions and millions swashing about waiting to be spent?

Not having a go Clive.... but proven strikers, in January are very very expensive!

One last amazingly epic moment for Barnes in a Burnley shirt.......

I'm struggling to think of a striker that we couldve gotten for a realistic fee that would've got us a good number of goals in the champ with one on eye getting us 8-10 in the PL.

There's no one in the Championship that's really standing out this season and I can't think of an attainable striker in the PL that would do that either.

I still think about Mikautadze and how it was a real shame we couldn't get him over the line. Hopefully we've been tracking some talent in Europe or beyond.

I'd like Kone if we don't go up but I suppose everyone else would.
