Re: Michael Duff
Only won 4 games this year and are now out of the play off places.
Bolton potted Evatt a few games ago for a similar run and it has galvanised them, maybe Huddersfield hoping for the same.

Re: Michael Duff
That’s shame, seemed to be doing well there for a while, but they’ve certainly fallen off recently. I’m a big fan of Duff, not only a great servant but such a level headed lad. I thought he could have benefitted from staying with our coaching staff a little longer, but seemed to have been proving me wrong and building his reputation in management. Hopefully he will get another opportunity soon.
Re: Michael Duff
Possibly lacks a bit of charisma which can be a big thing in winning over fan bases. Not sure he was hugely popular there.

Re: Michael Duff
Sacked twice now at Swansea and Huddersfield - he made a big mistake leaving Barnsley

Re: Michael Duff
Read online the level-headed Huddersfield are not blaming Duff for the run but apparently a really big injury list keeping out a lot of first team players.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sun Mar 09, 2025 1:13 pmWon’t be out of work for long. Wonder what went wrong?

I take more than a passing interest in Town as my wife and in-laws are supporters, and I go on the odd match when they have a spare ticket.
Town fans seemed split whether to stick with duff or get rid. He’s had terrible luck with injuries. They had had several injuries to key players for the past few months.

Re: Michael Duff
They should have stuck with Warnock. Nothing has worked since.

Re: Michael Duff
Barnsley were absolutely cheated in the play off final against Sheff Wed
Re: Michael Duff
They’ve got the resources and players to dominate sides at that level yet from what I read Duff was insistent on booting it high and long.
Really poor record too. I think it’s a balance, fans will accept boring football when the results are good, the moment the results change, the support for the manager completely goes.

Half time guest this Monday.
It’ll be nice to show appreciation for a modern day Claret great.

Re: Michael Duff
Perhaps he could do the Duff Dance Celebration if we win

Re: Michael Duff
I can't wait for Steve Davis
Re: Michael Duff
Michael Duff lacked silky skills but was an excellent defender. Heading superb, however, I loved it when a winger was doing step overs and trying to dazzle Duffo with his blinding shimmy's. Duffo would just hold his position and at that certain moment, put his foot forward and toe poke it away.
Re: Michael Duff
Can someone sort the flipping tannoy in the BL stand so we can actually hear him please?

Re: Michael Duff
He does. He was there earlier this season just prior to Nixon's story about Esteve being on Evertons radar

Re: Michael Duff
Be nice to actually hear what the players say at half time but the Jimmy Mac Upper speakers are not in time with each other so you can’t hear anything ….
It really is terrible

Re: Michael Duff
Tony I’m sure this happened a couple of years ago, I don’t think it was Steve Davis but there was someone playing that game with the same name. Damn my memory!!

It’s like being in Guantanamo Bay in the BL these days.
Re: Michael Duff
Wonder if he’ll do the dance he did after a previous Sheffield Utd game?
Re: Michael Duff
These half time interviews are a waste of time. Imagine getting an ex pro, asking a couple of questions then off you pop. It’s pointless.
Re: Michael Duff
Delighted to be able to hear him today and to have another hero back at the turf. I don’t think I’ll ever lose that picture in my head of him spraying the champagne about at Wembley against today’s opponent's. Always a favourite player in our household.
