Former Rochdale player who beat cancer twice but sadly not a 3rd time. Died yesterday aged 36.

Very sad news. I heard him on Radio Manchester a while back and talked about the cancer returning. He battled on valiantly.

Remember a few years ago he scored a winner for Rochdale in the last game of the season which kept them in their division( Can't recall whether 2nd or 3rd). The game was on tv around 2018 and I think the opposition were looking for a win to be promoted. A brave lad and I'd like to see Rochdale promoted this year. RIP Joe.

Really sad news this. Absolutely gutted for him, his family and all of his mates. Really terrible news that. Seems like a great bloke as well.

I picked up this news while down at Watford on Friday - such terribly sad news. Just 36 too and having gone through so much.
