Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Rumours seem to be growing that Leeds will look to replace Daniel Farke at the end of the season.
What's your thoughts?

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
I hope that unsettles the players. Champions title to us.
I also think that you missed a catchier title, by using just 2 words, one being off

How can you sack a manager who has just gained the club promotion with a 6-0 win and no new signings in January. I would think that this is just a ridiculous rumour.

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Farke has a 9% win rate in the prem I think I read and Parker 17%.
So if they go off stats like what football seems to have turned into.
Then they will both be sacked if the owners are serious about staying up.
In the human world of football it stinks to sack someone after their success.

Leeds are about to throw a load of money at it I reckon, they'll have a manager lined up probably
Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Totally agree, can see them trying to emulate Forest in that sense & even risking breaching PSR.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 2:51 pmLeeds are about to throw a load of money at it I reckon, they'll have a manager lined up probably

Has a club ever sacked a manager upon promotion to the Premier League before?
I had it in my head that Southampton did it to Nigel Adkins, but when I looked it up, he lasted until January.

Closest may be Parker at Bournemouth - 4 games
Though I seem remember Real Madrid sacking the manager that won them a Champions League, but who fell short in La Liga

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Let’s hope these rumours really get to the players for their last two matches.
Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Leeds throwing money at it next season might benefit us - it’s one less team shopping in a similar market to ourselves. On the other hand, unless they spend it badly, it’s one team less likely to be in the mix.
I think they’ll be cracking on with ground development now - I suppose it depends just how much 49ers Enterprises, possibly Red Bull, possibly others (?) want to put in.
The Red Bull thing could be an interesting watch - they’d be frothing at the mouth if it became Red Bull Leeds.

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Obviously totally unfair but it maybe makes sense as a cold business decision. They needed someone to get them out of the Championship, he's now done it 3 times, it made sense and it worked. People will look to Dyche and Parker for the same reasons. Same as Warnock back in the day.
But look at it from the perspective of any other Prem club. If their manager leaves this summer, or they fire them, Daniel Farke would not be on anyone's shortlist. Seems brutal, but why would Red Bull commit to him massively with their spending if they have doubts about his previous failures?

Only if you believe there is a fundamental difference between football in the PL and football in the FL, instead of it being the same game at a higher level.NottsClaret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 4:28 pmObviously totally unfair but it maybe makes sense as a cold business decision.

Dirty Leeds are going to tell us to farke off if we start such rumours to help us win the league

Leeds owe millions in unpaid transfer fees and will struggle to sign anyone never mind paying off a successful manager
Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
They have to sell before they can buy so I don't think they can throw money at it.

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Discussed on the radio the other day
Farke has failed to keep clubs up
Parker the same
Do Leeds want to risk it or give themselves a better chance etc
Harsh on farke but what's to say he doesn't lose the first 5 games and get potted then...

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Farke had the square root of naff all at Norwich to keep them up. His record isn't good, but then if you have decidedly worse players, you're going to struggle. It would be a monumental error to sack him rather than back him.

Big rumour that they’re getting Mouriniho. A marriage made in heaven is that, and a likely divorce by January ‘26.
Please, please let it happen.

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Farke stuck to his open attacking football in the Prem and he suffered for it. He had a couple of seasons and he didn’t learn. Saying that, my Norwich mates would have him back in a heartbeat.

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Hardly “clubs” is it as far as Parker is concerned since no manager can gain enough points over 4 games to keep a club safe from the drop.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 6:27 pmDiscussed on the radio the other day

Parker was sacked for telling the owner a few home truths about the lack of quality in the Bournemouth squad. By January 2023 the penny had obviously dropped since he shelled out £59m to bring in some quality reinforcements.

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Leeds have pretty much made clear they will be investing in players and now the rumours about Farke. Imagine you’d just won promotion knowing you probably won’t play or manage for the club again because the board of directors have no faith in you. Hopefully this unsettles them enough over the next 2 games so that we’re champions again.

I could see Farke going back to Norwich if Leeds decide to get rid.

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
That’d be interesting. He’d do a good job for them, I think. Get them organised.
I’d like to see him back in the premier league. He’s good value, controversy follows him but he’s a good manager and I want to see us up against the best.
Farke’s football is too open and will be murdered in the premier league. They also have a few loans without options so maybe the time to reset the squad.
Either way, good news for us. All this speculation running in to the last two games can’t be good for them.

Re: Are Leeds about to sack Farke?
Leeds ownership group is worth $6.7 billion, they could spend their way to 50 points, take a 15 point deduction and likely stay up. Not sure they'll be arsed about FFP

Alternatively, they could tell Farke that if he takes them up as Champions there will be a very healthy bonus on top of his severance. If finishing as champions is a priority for them.SydneyClaret wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 3:06 amLeeds have pretty much made clear they will be investing in players and now the rumours about Farke. Norwich spent £9 mill 1st time they were promoted and £40mill the second time. He never stood a chance with that level of investment in the squad. Truly awful if they sack him

get promoted sack your manager
A couple of Leeds fans I know ( and trust
) think there are plans to sack Farke and replace him with Ange Post- ausssie.
The thinking is, with Farke's record they will have to do it after 10 games, so why not do it now and appoint a better manager.
I wonder if the same thoughts have gone through Mr Paces mind.
