Future Islands

Anybody seen these live?

I've got the option of seeing them in Glasgow over the summer... is it worth a 5 hour drive?

Thought this was going to be a global warming thread.

Glasgow is definitely worth the drive. Not sure about the band.

Have a look at some of their live performances on YouTube - the Letterman one is legendary. They put on a decent show, although I'd not drive 5 hours

If you like em enough, you’ll make the journey. As mentioned earlier, check em out on YouTube.

Lost count of the amount of times I’ve travelled to Glasgow to watch stuff little fingers on st Patrick’s night…

The band sound bang average but the lead singer attempts to elevate things with his on stage 'persona'.

That's when it goes 'tits up'.

Cheers all...gave them a fair chance on YT and Spotify... liked their style and what was clearly their go to song...but tbh after a couple of tracks it became hard to distinguish one song from the next....like a Lighthouse Family album.

I'll give them a bye.

Saw them in Manchester about ten years ago. Love the style of the frontman, they were alright, nothing special. I personally wouldn’t drive 5 hours for them.
