Re: Dutchman Pub
I went past about 4 o clock and the front was sealed off with 2 police cars/4 coppers talking to people out front.
But the beer garden was still busy and sidedoor open, so I presumed nothing serious. Certainly the people in the pub didn't seem like much was going on.

Re: Dutchman Pub
Sounds like someones been twatted in the pub, seriously - and they've had to get the air ambulance to park on the roundabout at tesco to airlift the victim - seen the vid of the heli landing

This has turned into a surreal thread, but strangely funny.

Where are you finding a circa 6ft paper bag?Hapag Lloyd wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 11:38 pmI reckon GetIntoEm couldn’t punch himself out of a wet paper bag.
Why is it wet?
Why does he need to punch his way out of it?
Is the top tied or could he not just tip the bag and crawl out the top?

I think it's time for a "good news from Padiham" Thread.

Re: Dutchman Pub
I had a very pleasant ride down to Gawthorpe Hall yesterday that was very busy with families taking in the sunshine.
Our training ground seemed to be very busy with young teams around 3.30pm. Was there another tournament on?
Re: Dutchman Pub
That will be the Pre-Academy age groups (U7 & U8s) playing games , they normally play late afternoon.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 11:55 amOur training ground seemed to be very busy with young teams around 3.30pm. Was there another tournament on?

This reminds me of a lad I went through Basic Army training with.
His name was Steve Tuckett. He was a former professional boxer and his claim to fame was being on the end of the quickest knockout in a British ring at the time.
They had him on Big Breakfast the week later saying he couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag and had him literally fighting out of a giant paper bag

I'm not sure what was happening down there yesterday, but the annual tournament kicks off on May 30th. Always a good event, worth a look down.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 11:55 amI had a very pleasant ride down to Gawthorpe Hall yesterday that was very busy with families taking in the sunshine.
