Marinakis on the pitch.
Is this the same fella that had a HT do at the ref during our EL match at Olympiakos?

Yes he made sure his team beat the Clarets. Well done to the rotund 12th man!

The state of the bloke with his enormous gut, scruffy XXXL T-shirt and unshaven chins. Nuno is a dignified sort of character and was supremely professional in the circumstances.

What happens if Forest play Olympiakos in Europe?

Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
Yes, this was in our local paper the other day:- "With Forest set for European football next season, Marinakis recently relinquished day-to-day control of the club in order to avoid breaking UEFA rules. While he remains the club's 'owner' in name, his controlling stake was transferred to a blind trust."Bordeauxclaret wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 6:53 pmHe’s claiming to have given up being in control of Forest I believe.

Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
It’s pretty obvious that Marinakis has no control of the club anymore by the way he stormed onto their pitch at weekend.

Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
He's a bell end and for a multi millionaire I couldn't help feeling he should have been able to get clothes which actually fit him, notwithstanding his excess girth. He intimidated the referee when we played Olympiakos and he's also had other misdemeanours I believe too. Haranguing Nuno in public, on the pitch in full view was disgraceful, but he's got form.

I remember reading about the drug trafficking case that he was an accused in. Unfortunately it seemed a large number of witnesses committed suicide before it could be taken to trial.

Haha. How amateurish is that. Is that real?

I'm presuming so. Been deleted, apparently. Came across it on this Reddit thread

Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
Just had to check where that satirical statement came from, yet amazingly it is genuine. Sorry, poor choice of words
, I mean it is posted on Forest’s X account.
I’ll just say I have no problem with Alan Pace being in charge of our football club. We may moan, after all that is our job, but I prefer it to many alternatives.

Here's the statement with the 2nd page included. I don't despise many people but he's one that I do.

Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
Aye he must have that magical x Ray vision that only special people like him are gifted. He could see from his 2 seated vantage point in the stand how serious the injury was when nobody else on or off the pitch could.
That caring and loving concern for one of his family was there for all of us to see. It was absolutely nothing to do with the fact that a relegated local rival team had denied him of a potential £50m to £100m jackpot from being in the champions league.
That club statement is just lovely - made me very emotional. I’ve just put on Candle in the Wind by Sir Elton and got out my Princess Diana mug.

Surprising he headed straight for NES at the final whistle and not Awoniyi.

Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
When you are as emotional and caring about one of your family as Demmis was then tragedy unfolding in front of you like this can be both traumatic and confusing.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Wed May 14, 2025 7:47 amSurprising he headed straight for NES at the final whistle and not Awoniyi.
Although it may have looked like he was berating Nuno for costing him £100m that club statement points to it being mistaken identity and he thought it was his injured son / centre forward. They say love is blind.
Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
Looks as if he may have torn his spleen a subcapsular tear that has gone on to rupture given the interval between the injury and an op on Tuesday if he had an op yesterday
If that is the case he is lucky to be alive

Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
The first thought of a club CEO should be to support his team including medical staff, manager and offer as much support to the injured player as possible. I don't see how running on the pitch and having a hissy fit at your manager does any of those things.
All this sh*te about 'family' is just twitter hyperbole. The world needs rid of man babies like Trump, Musk and this clown. We desperately need leaders not man babies or spineless bureaucrats.

Re: Marinakis on the pitch.
Best wishes to Awoniyi, someone I had thought we may have tried to sign as a CF.
But out of all the off field people at Forest, the manager must have been feeling it the most given the poor result and a bad injury to one of his boys - to then have a strip torn off him in front of millions, well, it didn’t look good put it that way.
