Lancs Ko Cup

Post by Somethingfishy » Sun May 18, 2025 1:50 pm

House away at Penrith
Penrith batting first are 54/2 from 11
Healthy House following. Nice ground but not much seating about.

100 not out for Liam Bedford. Burnley might get more from wides today ( 17 so far from 24 overs ) than they scored yesterday !!! Not that they need them

After posting 185 Padiham have bowled Cheshire Lines out for 83.
All 3 local sides are through to the next round.

Good job Burnley batted first or would likely have been done and dusted in 2 hours.
Overheard the Penrith captain saying he was glad they won the toss whilst we were blasting the ball to all 4 corners. Think we'd have been on for a score similar to Burnleys. Safe to say we've both played teams not at the same standard today.

If House and Burnley can’t both crush todays opponents then it would be time literally take their bats home !

Hope you all had a good day mate, I went on the 4ths. Battled hard but it was basically and U13 side vs U16s and they scored about 300, great day for it again.

Blackrod away for Padiham. Shame as it's supposed to be playing teams from other leagues.

It was a bit of a miss match with the ages but they kept their spirits up till the end which was good to see, and look to have some very promising young players.
