**** game, but hardly embarrassing for the Premier League given they’ve beaten **** loads of teams from other top leagues to get there.

Two crap teams.

Convinced we can get a result against them next season!

Man Utd are shocking, absolutely shocking. How they can justify keeping the manager is beyond me. They’ve gone miles backwards.

Well done Ange looking forward to the press conference. Even if he gets sacked he delivered a trophy in his second season and Spurs are back in Champions League. Not a bad place to leave a club.

Precisely. It shows the strength in depth in the PL when the worst two teams not to be relegated can get to the final of Europe’s second cup competition.

Wilson Odobert will be picking up a European winners medal less than 12 months after he left us and probably featuring in the Champion League next season.

We should be looking to claim 12 points against these two teams next season as an absolute minimum...

Have Spurs now had a better season than Arsenal? They've both qualified for the Champions League, Arsenal finished 2nd, but Spurs have actually won something....

So no European Football for United next season ? A potential loss of c.£100m of income to the Club, a firm down-tick for potential future signings and it looks like the Glazers may have to reduce their dividend this season ....

What's not to like ? ;)

Would have been better sticking with ETH not that he was brilliant but not as bad. The fans put the pressure on & now no better with somebody else no sympathy. Doubt they'll sink unfortunately but if this doesn't serve as wake up call to reality nothing ever will.

From a fan perspective, yep.

I’d rather finish rock bottom and win the FA Cup than finish 2nd.

The “winning something” days are the ones you remember. Arsenal fans won’t take long to forget this season. They’ve finished second scores of times. Spurs fans won’t forget tonight.

Don't know about that.
Both teams weren't good but they both stop the opposition from playing football.
You need decent footballers to overcome negative tactics.

It was a very similar game to the Inter Milan v Barcelona Champions League semi.

Oh hang on, it was nothing like it.

You could also argue they’re more worth their place in the Champions League as at least they are champions of something.

There is a massive gulf between the Championship and the Premier League. As poor as Manchester United have performed this season I would be surprised if they lost more than once in 6 matches played against the bottom 3.

My comment was partially tongue in cheek but they are two very poor teams compared to recent iterations of them

I went to the Serbian cup final earlier and it was a far better watch than this turgid affair, helped obviously by Red Star winning and doing the double but Vojvodina played well and the 3-0 scoreline flattered zvezda with the second and third goals only coming on 90+6 and 90+11. Surely United will realise they made a huge error in appointing Amorim now? I think how the game panned out showed his inexperience, his team selection was poor and he didn’t change things until it was too late. Me? I’d give him a 5 year extension 😁👌

Pointless booting Amorim as realistically there’s only two players who he chose in the side.

Man U have been on a steady decline in front of goal since the Van Gaal days and still haven’t managed to recruit a forward who puts the ball in the back of the net.

Can’t see him lasting past the end of September if he doesn’t start well though.

The Premier Leagie and World club football is always better off with a successful and strong Manchester United

Discuss.
The championship would be better off with man United in it.

Generally, though, football as a whole would be better off if the greedy 5 of real madrid, Barcelona, man u, Liverpool, Juventus all had a few decades of being crap, just as scottish football would be more competitive and watchable if celtic and rangers decided to play in Spain.

Reading what I have about this game makes me feel glad BT Sport have the European competitions. I don't subscribe to this channel so couldn't watch it. Had it been on Sky I would probably have ended up watching it.

It sounds like the game between to awful and out of form sides served up the match you would expect

I don’t subscribe to TNT but was able to watch it free via Discovery + on Sky. Whether that option will be available for the Champions League final I don’t know.

I suspect the only way you could have enjoyed that last night was if you were a Spurs fan.

Ange made a rod for his own back with his throwaway remark on him always winning a trophy during his second season, and journalists took every available opportunity to beat him with it. I’m pleased that it turned out well for him and that he has delivered a trophy with £100m inside it if Spurs dispense with his services.
Never been a real fan of Man Utd and even less so since the boss of Ineos took over. Having forced Amorim to take over immediately, when he had expressed a desire to wait until the end of the season, they have no real option but to stick with him.

I don't think it's been wise of Postecoglu to get into this scrap but journalists are brazen bullies. They don't pick on people for any particular reason, they do it because they can and the reason/justification comes retrospectively. It sells papers and wins clicks if they create controversy and conflict.

The only thing Postecoglu can do to turn around his relationship with journalists is to win with Spurs on a regular basis. The they'll have change their narrative.

Can someone explain what the difference is between the Europa League & the Europa Conference League that West Ham won.

Back in the day when we played in the Europa League qualifying stages I'm sure there wasn't another competition.

Can someone explain what the difference is between the Europa League & the Europa Conference League that West Ham won.

Back in the day when we played in the Europa League qualifying stages I'm sure there wasn't another competition.
Its like the old Euro Cup, UEFA Cup, Cup Winners cup hierarchy
