Good article including some praise for Turf Moor

A good article written by someone who visited all 92 club grounds in this past season. Turf Moor gets two nice mentions amongst his observations (see 20 and 72) . Point 57 is also worth highlighting .

On point 21, I'll take it he's not been up Crown Point.

As a supporter that travels to most away games (and a few home games) on the train, point 16 is especially pertinent. The state of the rail network is scandalous and needs looking at.
On point 20 - I sometimes forget how lucky I am to sit in the JHU with the extraordinary view above the Bob Lord.

Agree with a lot of that tbf, especially the generic chants that virtually every club seem to sing now. Also makes me miss the lower league away days a bit, the Premier league grounds are nice but its all a bit soulless.

Agree with this Item 3 regarding the generic chants and item 4 - football in a library crap is spot on.

Re: Good article including some praise for Turf Moor
Really enjoyable read. As nice as it is now as a Burnley fan, there is a little part of me that misses the camaraderie, culture, connection and general fan experience of lower league football. That's not to say I would swap our relative success for it but sometimes the "plastic-ness" and forced tradition of the overly commercialised Premier League (and to a certain extent Championship) and increase of fairweather fandom does make me reminisce to a time not too long ago when a match day was a community event, run by the community for the community. Tis the way of the modern world though and something that comes with the globalisation and money brought in by the success of English football.
