I've just checked and there's nothing from the club due out on the 2nd. Will look again on Tuesday!Murger wrote: ↑Sat May 31, 2025 11:35 amSo, they got back in touch about 10 days ago. Apparently they’ve set up my correct direct debit for the 2nd and can I pay last months missed payment. Excellent I thought, eventually it’s all sorted.
Hahaha. So in my upcoming direct debits, it’s still set up for the tenner and not the full 48.50. What a bloody carry on.

When Dave Baldwin introduced direct debits for season tickets it was all run by one person at the club and it worked almost perfectly. How on earth have they gone from that to this?

Re: Season tickets
Rang up the TO this morning. Apparently not all the direct debits have been processed, despite them saying it was sorted. So I have to ring back Friday to pay manually (if it hasn’t been set up by then).

Re: Season tickets
I been ticket office this morning about only 1 payment coming and having 2 missed direct debit payment again after being assured everything was sorted last month. The ticket office said they was told by direct debit company everything was sorted, but today one direct debit was took out and two wasnt took out like last month. The ticket office told me the direct debit company told them they will try again in 5 working days and if mine is not took out then i to pay manually again the miss payments and hopefully everything work in July. I always used direct debit for years for season tickets payments and never had any problem when was in house ticket company until this year with change to ticketmaster

Burnley football club seem to be the only people in the entire world incapable of setting up a direct debit mandate.

I’ve had exactly the same issue as claretsforever and it is ridiculous now. I phoned today and was told I could pay the missing amount but I’m waiting to see if the promised magic happens by Friday. The people in the office are being as helpful as they can but Ticketmaster is not fit for purpose. Does anyone have an email address for the club please so I can at least register my annoyance properly?

Hope you're more successful at getting a reply from Mr Howells than I was. Their customer service skills are sadly lacking. It wouldn't take a minute to reply to the email and give lip service that the complaint is being looked into but that appears too much for them. As you can tell I'm not very happy with them at the moment despite spending thousands down the years in season tickets and merchandise etc.

On the subject of Ticketmaster - Sunderland have sacked them after their play off problems.
I haven’t really been following the situation closely but it would t shock me if I turned out to be right about Ticketmaster.

Re: Season tickets
Its good (or bad) that all of those that have noticed issues with the DD have raised it, but what about those that haven’t noticed it’s not been paid?
I’ve got to admit I don’t regularly check for the “known” DD that have gone out, but look for “unknown” ones (if that makes sense) and have only been looking because I’m aware of this thread but there will be people that aren’t and don’t
What will happen to them in 2/3 months time when it’s realised? Will they be expected to fork out a lump sum in back payments?

These types of issues are exactly the type that need to be brought to the attention of the newly launched Burnley FC Independent Supporters Association. Hopefully they will be able to put them to the club in a constructive way to try to avoid these issues occurring next season.

After sending my email I had a very prompt reply from Gareth Howells saying he would sort it out. I have then had a phone call from him explaining what has happened and that it will be sorted for July. He was excellent and I feel very unfrustrated now

Re: Season tickets
I’ve today checked our DDs solely on the back of this thread and realised that whilst they have all been coming out (so fingers crossed we have our seats!), we have been underpaying for my son’s ticket. He’s gone up an age bracket and despite an email exchange with the ticket office at renewal, in which they expressly stated his details had been updated and all in order, they’ve taken the lower u18 price. In our case it will be relatively modest back payments and I’m fortunate enough that cash flow is not an issue. But I can well imagine people who don’t happen across this thread getting a very nasty surprise in a few months.wilks_bfc wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 2:44 pmIts good (or bad) that all of those that have noticed issues with the DD have raised it, but what about those that haven’t noticed it’s not been paid?

Re: Season tickets
I spoke to the office when I did my renewal as there was a problem at first on my age for OAP and the payment came out for last year late lol
I asked what happens if you have missed any payments and she assured me that the process is if a payment is missed they will go for double the following month if that one does not go through then they would contact the ticket holder and go for 3 months or if its that they did not go for it then the outstanding amount can be rolled on to the remaining payments . but would not cancel the ticket,it would be suspended so that you would need to go to the office to resolve.
I do check mine now every month lol
Re: Season tickets
That's fine if payments have just been missed but could still be an issue if the payments have been ' missed' due to the seat having been removed from the person and, therefore, a DD hasn't even been set up by the Club.pureclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 10:16 pmI spoke to the office when I did my renewal as there was a problem at first on my age for OAP and the payment came out for last year late lol

Changed my DD from Natwest to Lloyds on 23rd April but no payments taken at all yet.
E mailed ticket office yesterday and they told me to make a manual payment to avoid unpaid charges despite the fact that the DD is set up correctly and funds are available!!!
Rang this morning and I said I'll pay 2 installments manually cos June not gone out either but the lady said I could only pay one cos it's not showing as unpaid on their system yet!!!

Re: Season tickets
Email received today......
We are getting in touch regarding your Season Ticket Direct Debit payment plan.
As part of our transition to a new Direct Debit provider, payments for the first two months of your 12-month plan have only been collected for one of the [3] season tickets you are responsible for paying for.
To bring your payment plan up to date, the remaining balance will now be spread evenly over the final 10 months. This means your monthly payments will be slightly increased compared to your original schedule for any tickets that haven't been paid for yet.
Your updated Direct Debit payment plan will be sent to you via email in the coming days. There is no need for you to take any action — the revised payments will be adjusted automatically. If you don't receive this email in the next 10 days, please let us know.
We apologise for any confusion caused and appreciate your patience during this transition. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our team at ticketoffice@burnleyfc.com.
Thank you for your continued support of Burnley FC — we can’t wait to welcome you back to Turf Moor.
