I wonder if Hladky is being let go then? We already have Etienne Green as third choice.

No, he didn’t. David James was in goal for the Grezza pen miss.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 1:23 pmTom Heaton was relegated with Bristol City and saved a penalty from Grezza at the Turf in one of his last games for them before signing for Burnley

Re: Summer transfer window
Matt Williams was interviewed on SSN this afternoon and said that we are very close to signing a couple of players fwiw.
Also mentioned that we are interested in a few players that haven't been made public.

He said that we had made Brownhill 2 further offers and was waiting for him nowJakubs Tash wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 11:56 amI believe Matt Williams was at the fixture launch this morning. Was anybody there and what did he have to say? He normally has a few bits of transfer info.
We had signed a player in the first window but thats come to a halt because of a former agent demanding a 5% cut
A player who has been out on loan the last 2 seasons was almost sold but that fell through because it was an Israeli club (im guessing Churlinov?)
Scott Parker wants to get a look at Ekdal preseason
The compare did make a joke about a player threatening Matt Williams with physical voilence as well which was brushed over quickly

Re: Summer transfer window
If we're still waiting on Brownhill, as per Williams, then it doesn't sound particularly positive as to his desire to stay. He is of course quite within his rights to keep shopping around for a better offer, but this is our captain and in a crucial area of the pitch. I hope our desire to keep him has an expiry date because if he isn't staying you'd think his replacement is priority number one.

High and wide! Certainly missed the target.
Re: Summer transfer window
You’d imagine the keeper and Lazio winger should be the few close to signing. Although a report out of Italy suggested it might not be as advanced as initially thought.

You mean this rumour that the above poster, who happened to be at a talk with Williams today (yes it does exist, wow!!), has alluded to:

No, your are (conveniently) barking up the wrong tree. Let’s leave it there.
Re: Summer transfer window
Would he go straight into the first team if/when Trafford departs? Any info on what he is like ?

We already have a link with Karlsruher SC through our former striker Rouwen Hennings, I can't believe that was ten years ago.

Chatter about Nick 'In the middle of our goal' Pope being a swap plus cash for Trafford, whilst at the same time, us offering for a young keeper from Germany.

It also suggests he hasn't got an appealing offer from elsewhere.jedi_master wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 3:27 pmIf we're still waiting on Brownhill, as per Williams, then it doesn't sound particularly positive as to his desire to stay. Re: Summer transfer window
Manor Solomon anyone? Just seen something about him being someone we are interested in. Would have thought Dirty Leeds might be after him ahead of us , following his loan spell and title winning goal at Plymouth.

If we really have offered him the money that's been suggested, I'm not surprised he can't better it.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 18, 2025 8:22 pmIt also suggests he hasn't got an appealing offer from elsewhere.
