Re: Tresor
No ill wishes or inquest from me I just want a fit Mike Tresor living his best life and playing football that excites the f out of us.
I just find the Insta piccies just muddy the waters. I would rather he did a little YT vid just sitting down and saying how he is now and when he will be ready to play an active part.

Re: Tresor
Some weird stuff written about Tresor, none more so than he was fit all along just didn't want to play in the Championship (despite him playing in the FA Cup and for the under21s but then you see which clown is claiming this) hence him now reappearing since we are promoted.
I am sure that those who went down the "he is refusing to play" will now seek to blame someone else for their ignorance

15 years ago I rushed my Wife to hospital where she was diagnosed with acute appendicitis but before she went into theatre it had burst. Because of the type of operation required it took about 8 months just for the wound to fully close and involved the use on Manuka Honey to help it heal. The whole thing still affects her now due to complications. I feel for Tresor if this is similar.

Re: Tresor
If those are operation scars and are related to the reason he hasn’t played then showing them to all and sundry doesn’t really fit with the ‘he wants privacy’ theory I wouldn’t have thought?
Nor in some ways do his previous cryptic posts.
Perhaps if he has changed his mind about the privacy issue then a clarifying statement of some sort might be worth putting out.

I agree, a burst appendix is horrible, and potentially life threatening, my dad had it years agoJohnMac wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 9:10 am15 years ago I rushed my Wife to hospital where she was diagnosed with acute appendicitis but before she went into theatre it had burst. Apendicitis can affect people differently. Carlos Sainz raced in F1 a week after his operation.

For the record, I think what AP said is likely to be true as he understood it. My only point is that the club's only reliably statement is the one AP made. You can't rely on fan rumour. Nor on what SP said because he is not in a position to say such things about players.
None of us know what has gone on...!

It's extremely strange. I can't think of any professional football club that wouldn't do the upmost to give that said player the widest berth as possible. you wouldn't be entering into any sort of dialogue the phone just wouldn't ring.TsarBomba wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 1:42 pmIt’s all very odd.
What doesn’t make any sense is why a club like Ajax, or any club for that matter, would try and sign a player that had surgery for a serious issue and was so very unfit. He wouldn’t stand a chance of passing the medical for a start. Ajax would do their due diligence beforehand and know of his illness by speaking to the agent. So why try and sign him?

Re: Tresor
Not sure how anybody could know this for sure.
We know there was interest and rumours but why the deal fell through I’m not sure was disclosed (apologies if I am wrong here).
Not sure any of us are sure of the timeline of events. It seems far more logical to assume that even if a deal was initially on the cards that it fell through on medical grounds than any other reason knowing what we do about the seriousness of the illness. Does not make any sense to think any club would sign a player on loan without a full understanding of his medical history,
Given the nature of the operation he had to the situation could have been pretty dynamic from Ajax initially enquiring to when they pulled out. I don’t think anybody at the club knew at the time how bad it was or it would take as long as it could to recover and we know from this thread alone that recovery times can be very different for different people (and it’s nothing to do with how fit you were in the first place).
I doubt very much whether we will ever find out the fine details of things like this. But from my point of view knowing what the illness was it’s easier to make some logical assumptions or question some of the wilder assumptions on this thread which don’t make any sense (not saying the loan fee is one of them btw just questioning whether that is fact given so much conjecture round Tresor)

Re: Tresor
Ajax could easily have been willing to take a chance with a loan and option to buy as a means of getting a very good player very cheap, thinking he may have been fit a short time after. A loan isn’t as rigorous a medical as a buy.
We are trying to buy Hartmann after a bad injury, these things do create opportunities.
Don’t forget Ajax had Weghorst before deadline day who is “in the know” as regards the Burnley camp, and many of our best players were angling to leave at that point so it is logical there was interest.

The lad was a mystery in my opinion. He had outstanding assist stats for Genk and when he played against us(albeit in a pre season friendly) he gave us a lot of problems. So when he was signed I was very pleased thinking that we had a decent player in the squad. But when he played he was very poor and seemed to have poor attitude. I would be interested to know if the health issues (still not sure what they are) we're adversely affecting him. Let's hope we now have the real deal.

I remember the Chelsea home game when he was sold a pup by the manager and stuck on the wrong side, yet he raced up and down that wing a lot with decent effort. I recall he was picked against Liverpool too and was fine in an outclassed team. He seemed to get picked for most of the harder ones which was very harsh. Never really had a chance for me.

This literally just happened to me! They took a CT scan, said i had acute appendicitis but could wait till morning for surgery. I felt it go about an hour later, and had to spend the next 8 hours begging for better painkillers. I was in so much pain a tore a muscle between my ribs. And so lucky I didn't end up with sepsis. My wounds are healing more quickly though thank goodness, 8 months sounds hellish!JohnMac wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 9:10 am15 years ago I rushed my Wife to hospital where she was diagnosed with acute appendicitis but before she went into theatre it had burst. "Fine and dandy" could be a reference to his general well being followed by AP saying he doesn't know if he'll ever be first team fit again. It's all interpretation. I'm from Rossy, Mrs T. is from Durham and we talk different languages.

It’s only the Marcus Edwards ‘writing emoji’ comment that has everyone speculating. Seems highly likely that is a reference to the keyboard warriors who enjoy having an unfair pop, rather than a mew contract (unless it is with someone else).

Re: Tresor
Seems to be a statement of intent to do something. Coupled with the photo of him playing football suggests what that something is.
Best not to take the words literally. Could be an idiom that hasn't translated well or just a muddled way of expressing himself in a second language.
If we get to see the kind of form he showed in Belgium then we could be onto a winner. Fingers crossed and hoping we see some kind of return on the pitch.

I didn't say Parker was lying - managers are notorious for protecting their players.

But I'm not really talking about truth - I'm talking about what constitutes a valid opinion and in the absence of much of anything you look for a source that is both valid and unlikely to be biased or conflicted by their professional position.
In this case it is Pace, but that does not mean what he said reflected the truth of the situation.

Just further cryptic crap.
Like I said earlier, rather than just putting out snippets of conundrums, maybe sit down with the PR department and put together a short upbeat vid of where you are at and where you want to be then we can all unite behind and say
"Can't wait to see Mike on the pitch! He's going to be like a new signing!"
Even if it turns out be bunkum and he's planning a move away then it's got to be better than this constant guessing games.

If only that were the case, as it is, I think that’s a very naive statement.
There are countless examples of religious people doing or saying things that an outsider would expect to be against the teaching of their religion, whichever one they might align themselves to.

Re: Tresor
If you start things off with tresor being unhappy & not getting his move & go from there. To me things are like a jigsaw & when you start piecing things together you form a picture. It's not pace making a "single stupid comment" in isolation although that's a piece of the jigsaw. Far too many things are unexplained which should be in a coherent structured chain it's far easier to accept another plausible theory which makes more sense than try to explain various unknowns.
Re: Tresor
But those trivial pieces only make sense if you totally discount the idea that Parker was telling the truth and that Tresor has had a major operation. You could "prove" the earth is flat if you discount any evidence that it is round.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 12:03 pmIf you start things off with tresor being unhappy & not getting his move & go from there.
