Agreed, but that worries me about about Esteve!
Humphreys would play right centre back. The goal he scored for us was a cracking right foot shot.

The speculation surrounding Trafford’s future comes as Burnley close in on the signing of German stopper Max Weiss, who is reportedly having a medical today.
The 21-year-old Karlsruher SC stopper is to arrive for a €5m (£4.2m) fee according to reliable journalist Florian Plettenberg, of Sky Sports Germany.

It really wouldn't be a surprise if Pope was part of the deal, surely he'll want to be a no.1 here, rather than a backup at Newccastle?

Interesting to see Oxlaide-Chamberlain has mainly played either defensive midfield or standard central midfield in recent times. Could be a shrewd signing. Add Dendoncker for £2-3m and you’ve got some really nice experience in the key area of the pitch.
Chamberlain and Cullen as the defensive midfield double pivot would be top class with Laurent as cover.

Dendonker yes Oxlade -Chamberlain never possessed a tackle and has a very poor injury record so would be a bad idea.

I'd certainly be wanting Oxlade-Chamberlain as attacking if he did sign for us. Certainly not a player I'd be considering as an anchor man.

It's a few years since I saw him play, so I wouldn't like to comment. He was always a strong, athletic kid.

We need some muscle all over the park, another 6.4 Cullen & big unit to lead the line, think Kolosho is a prem player & will be able to use his pace to take us up the pitch.

Nick Popes shoulder issue is a cause for concern
Once it dislocates it tends to weaken not good for a keeper.

Knowledge of Pope's recurring shoulder injuries will have a marked impact on what Newcastle could recover fee wise- a similar scenario to Charlie Austin

They’re actually pretty legit. Like A smaller version of The Athletic and based more on betting. Much more reliable than Sportwitness and FootballWorld or whatever it is that are just clickbait

He has the feel of an ALK signing about him, very highly regarded in his younger years but not quite realised the potential- still a decent age.

Struggle to take ‘Sportsboom’ seriously, but Chakvetadze was a standout player in the Championship, my only concern is that he is another ‘ball to feet’ type (I’d actually liken his ‘profile’ to Tresor/Ramsey) rather than someone who attacks space. Likes to play on the inside left a lot, where those two do, and even Hannibal does. Not sure the 4-5m fee would be accurate either. I reckon it’d take 10.

I think we need more than that. Centre back, centre mid, winger, another keeper if Trafford goes, possibly a right back too
