I thought that at times in his set, Young was amazing.
And at others he was ******* terrible.
What was terrible?

Love Neil Young, but that was bloody shocking.
Awful sound quality too.
Really! Thought he was great!

Caught up on all of last nights acts the scissor sisters put on the best show by far. Charli xcx was a mime artist to backing tracks and Neil was what Neil is hit and miss , but the voice is definitely on the wain

Neil Young's voice at 79 is going to waver, but it always did. Now just a little bit more. But fans of 'greats' look at their career as a whole, and they deserve for us to lower our expectations. In that way, we can still enjoy them. We make some allowances.
Bit like supporting footballers and football teams, we make allowances, through our loyalty to them.

GPAT absolutely smashing West Hoults just now. Best thing I've seen by some distance.
Comment above about it being the poorest in a decade. Perhaps in terms of sitting at home but that's not the festival. Experiencing it first hand makes you realise the lineup is largely irrelevant.

The people having problems with Neil young I'll happily wait till they become 79 (if I'm still alive by then) develop the same sort of health problems & do a better job on a late Saturday night.

I’m actually also looking forward to Olivia Rodrigo later too. She’s a very talented singer/songwriter. As a 35 year old man I should probably not admit I like her, but she’s good!

Wolf Alice and The Prodigy is a strong closing for the Other Stage.

I'm currently watching Future Islands. Musically very good and I like it, the singer though, I'm really struggling with his style. In parts it sounds like he's singing in a weird Chinese / broken English accent

Selecter, Libertines, London Community Gospel Choir, Horne Section, Rod Stewart, Snow Patrol so far today and now we’re sat at the top of the Pyramid field listening to Noah Kahan (never heard of him) in the sunshine with a cold beer.

Then I realised I last saw them 15 years ago when I was in my 20s.

I’ve just watched the full Rod Stewart set. Yes, I know I’m getting old but really enjoyed it. He is what he is and great to see Ronnie Wood join him for two old Faces songs.
And Lulu looking remarkable at 76.

Me too. We’ll have to put the original on the turn table Pearcey. He’s much better these days at the slower songs, one or two of the faster numbers tonight we're off key but hey he’s 80. I wish I looked as good and I’m 71.

I saw Lulu in 1965 at the Queensway Hall in Dunstable.
I was only 14 at the time and I think she was only 15
I don't think I look remarkable now at 74

Thats what my daughters said , she’s explored far more of the festival than you would normally and seen stuff she probably wouldnt have seen, and she’s thoroughly enjoyed it, i think from. A tv experience it becomes the opposite you need a lot of bands to smash it out of the park
