Sunderland forum

Quite like sunderland as I've had some great days up there watching us , the fans around the pubs are great but they have some very deluded ones on their forum about next season.
Remind me, was it 24 points we were in front of them and yes I realise the transfer window could change that but it's still a massive catch up for them!

Be two separate teams after promotion.

How many did we finish in front of Luton and then behind?

Cant really blame them for getting a bit giddy after many years of abject failure

They’re a big club and they will be well backed and appealing to plenty of players wee are in the market for. They'll pribably be a threat no doubt.

On points, but we are above them in the table.

Luton did well because they did what every promoted team needs to do, which is make yourself very hard to beat.

Looks like Sunderland will take games to the opposition.

Will be interesting to see how well they do with defenders pushing up on the half way line.

It's been a while since they have had a real kicking in the PL, like the one we had under VK.

I think plenty of our fanbase were very giddy to say the least after we got promoted that year. It didn't last long of course and I'm sure it will be a similar story for Sunderland this season. Let them enjoy the summer I say :)

Better than we did in the Prem.

Let's face it, our early tactics were rubbish to say the least. Playing like we did against Spurs & Villa at home, pushing so far up the pitch was never going to work in a million years.

Both relegated so neither tactics were successful,

I thought we played too deep allowing other teams to sit just outside our penalty area too often.

Luton didn’t do well. They only had two points more than our abysmal total.

Sunderland didn’t take games to the opposition in the Championship.

With the resources they had, and players they had. Along with expectations etc. I think Luton massively over performed. They were only six points off staying up. And had they not gone on the dreadful run they did (or turned the two draws against forest into wins) they may well have done.

They definitely over performed. And gave teams better games of it than we did.

Can I bookmark that & if we won't & Leeds won't who are the other 2 weaker sides?

Brentford and Wolves would be two that stand out currently

& currently plenty of time to strengthen. A more accurate prediction should surely come when all the business is done & ready for go.

Will do & I hope you are right. I just think it's far too early to be punchy with predictions I'm more geared towards grounded optimism.

I am the ultimate optimist, but I'm only predicting 15th for the Clarets. Leeds will finish 10th, although I'm willing them to go down as a former Skiptonian. It's the local derby there.

Had that decision been corrected by VAR we'd have finished above them

I saw on the other day, the guy had added his own flux capacitor model with lights.

They can fair shift tbh.
