On the one hand you can meet those that make them at the Barge Inn in Honeystreet in Wiltshire

On the other, the circles have been around for centuries…

Wouldn't they have landing gear?

Why would they land their belly flat on a field. It would be uneven, cause damage etc - someone didn't think this theory through.

Even centuries ago, aliens would have thought of that before conducting interstellar travel!

I stayed at The Barge 2 or 3 years ago for the Summer Solstice. It's a proper cool campsite.

Alien tech has moved on. Crop circle tech is close to obsolete on the far edge of the galaxy these days.
