Actually a false economy in their respect.superdimitri wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 9:25 pmYes, they got him for 1.5m and sold him for 4m when he hasn't really developed as a player, is a year older, and only contributed a small amount to their team.
They've received a small financial gain but a loss to their squad that won't be replaced with the spare 2.5 million euros and therefore will cost them more in the long run.
To get a player who scored 6 Premier league goals in 16 starts from midfield at 26 years old for 4 million euros can't be anything but good business.

Welcome back JBL!
Agree that once again we have a wide range of wingers again but maybe there are some to move on still. As long as I’m not paying all the salaries then I can live with it!

I'm not unhappy with him. I think he's a great player. Just relying what I read.billyhamilton82 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 9:37 pmActually a false economy in their respect.

They want the money gained to go towards youth. Their manager has been doing a good job with a young squad. They're in a different situation from us.
It's interesting looking at their squad. Assignon and Al-Dakhil both ex Burnley.
I think it's great that he can play as a forward in any position. Arguably more effective up front than Foster.

Re: ARTICLE: JBL is back with the Clarets
Made 7 starts last season (3 for Hoffenheim and 4 for Stuttgart)
He scored 3 and assisted 3.
6 goal contributions in 7 starts , subbed on 9 times for Hoffenheim and 11 times for Stuttgart.
He played a grand total of 800 minutes, which is just over 9 games.
6 goal contributions in 9 games would suggest its more not being given the opportunity rather than his ability to play at the standard required.

They should have played him more often.

Have you had some kind of brain injury?BigGaz wrote: ↑Fri Jul 11, 2025 8:46 pmBurnley FC ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with bringing back former players.
Never know a club or it's fans dripping in OBSESSION to bring back the guys.
It makes you wonder who is next, Winston White. Should we bring back Clark Carlisle or Paul Crichton lads next, am I right lol, lmfao. ROFL.
I personally don't understand the OBSESSION but welcome back.

Modern version of scouting by Top Trumps.billyhamilton82 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 1:54 pmYes and highly accurate
I didn't have my stopwatch availalable when he played last time, he was too quick![]()

Scored a goal every 208 minutes in the Premier league for us. Putting that into context:billyhamilton82 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 11:18 pmMade 7 starts last season (3 for Hoffenheim and 4 for Stuttgart)

2023/24 - Foster 381 mins played per goal, Amdouni 394 mins per goal, Brownhill 563 mins per goal
2024/25 - Brownhill 193 mins per goal, Flemming 203 mins per goal.
If JBL had played as many minutes as Brownhill that season and scored at the same rate he'd have scored 16 goals!
A no-brainer if the fee really is 4m Euros.
