We have got some massive positives out of that game.

1. Ramsey got in a full competitive 90 inutes and looked strong.
2. Sonne had a solid performance and scored.
3. Tuanzebe in his 45 minutes has shown his quality, definitely a CJER replacement.
4. Banel was impressive and showed no fear and had an end product.
5. Tresor has huge quality and showed it again in a 10 minute cameo with an assist.
6. Tchaouna is a very exciting prospect.
7. Broja got 60 competitive minutes under his belt.

Also, most of the Derby players were involved in their Friday Championship game, so no duck eggs.

Overall a very good, productive workout.

SW v DL going to pennies
How funny was that?

Calvert-lewin misses several chances in time added on and then his penalty so far over the bar. Farke's face was cut to each time and he's clearly thinking What the f have you given me?
I can't remember such a one sided pen shoot out.

The Sunderland v Huddersfield penalties were very good. Leeds shocking - none scored.

When was the last time a team scored no pens in a shootout. Can’t happen too often

Not many complimentary comments about Edwards tonight. I thought he was poor as well and there's no way he's suited to playing premier league footy, but the mood certainly seems to have shifted on him from last season.
It's because he looks like he couldn't give a crap!

Perhaps Tresor could have been given a bit more time than he was given. Not convinced that he will be staying.

Ramsey grew into the game and wanted the ball at every opportunity.

Pires was very good again at left back.

Worrall was a hell of a lot more composed than at Deepdale last season.

Tchaouna is our version Saint-Maximin

Banel could be a very good impact sub this season

Magic Mike just has that bit of quality when it matters, it's just a pity that we see very little of him and probably won't this season.

I think most would have been happy if he was sacked the day after they won the league.

I will say I never personally saw the two parties lasting long this season.

For me he’s up there as favourite for the sack alongside Potter

Never met a Leeds fan who knows their football. And I've talked to a lot!

They are a Championship team and he deserves at least until Christmas for the fact he promoted them!

Good goal that. Ramsey with the sharp, incisive forward pass to Barnes who dropped into space, first time lay off to Tresor who sees a line breaking run and executes the perfectly weighted pass, with probably his first touch.
It was his 4th touch, I was counting. Real quality vision and pass.

Some positives tonight, but when Parker picks his side on Saturday, it will clearly omit a few players clearly not fit yet, namely Broja, Flemming, Humphreys

Think he will be happy with the performances of Ramsey, Tchaouna, Worrall and Benel when he came on. Sonne's goal was wonderfully taken and he may well be someone for the future. Lets hope we get another non PL side again as these games are invaluable for our fringe players to get game time

Just occurred to me that 90 minutes tonight feels impossible for Sonne to be in a back 5 on Saturday, given how Scott is managing the minutes. So that could be a 4.

He didn't play much v Sunderland so I don't think playing 90 minutes tonight is an issue. But I agree I think he'll be on the bench on Saturday. Really strange time to be playing Man U too. Looked good v Arsenal. Then really struggled to break down Fulham. Bit of unrest seeding. Feels like a game we just need to be in throughout and let them mess themselves up

I may have missed it but i saw magic mike being really mobbed by the players after his assist.

Looking at that he is a popular member and they all know there is a player in there.

Difficult to break into a prem team but injuries etc can create opportunities.

I thought tonight was positive, lots of people putting pressure to get on the bench

Don't they "mob" everyone involved in a goal?

I thought that our "reserve team" showed what a great depth of squad we have. This will be very important in the New Year when injuries kick in and the big clubs usually have more nouse in sussing teams out having seen them play for 5 months.

The Tresor situation is still puzzling me. What is the endgame here? If he has trained all summer, surely we need to give him more than 15 minutes in a cup tie?

It depends what the situation is, or how fragile he is. Broja obviously wasn't ready to start, needs the minutes, but shouldn't be risked in the prem.
From what little the club have revealed Mike has had issues, but the club, Parker and his team mates have never said anything negative about him, in fact the only negativity comes from the usual suspects on this board.
As Broja, we probably want to ease him in to it, he'll need the minutes too, but I wouldn't be sending him out. Last night showed he has the quality to turn a match even from the bench.

I’d be surprised if Mike was loaned out. Keep him in and around the squad, ease him into things. It’s a long old season, we’ll need everyone.

Seeing the match last-night, it shows why we loaned Luca out. We have so much raw talent and arguably Koleosho is the least effective.

The question is, who comes off this bench from Sunderland for Tresor, bearing in mind Humphreys, Tuanzebe and Broja probably all should be / will be in the matchday squad. Obv injuries happen and Roberts isn’t even involved yet, but with a fairly fit / available squad it’s already a tough one, before any new signings are possibly added this week. He’s barely played football for 2 years now and I’m not sure hoping he gets on the bench is a good third year plan?

Weiß
Sonne
Worrall
Laurent
Tchaouna
Edwards
Flemming
Pires
Ramsey

From that bench I could see Ramsey, Pires, Flemming and Edwards all being interchangeable

For me, Tchaouna starts. It doesn't change your overall point tough which I agree with, but shows how strong we are.
