Out of interest, what exactly has he done to upset you?
I know Dyche wasn't a fan of him, he played for Leeds but other than that, I can't see why he'd be hated so much.

I've just read that he only played for us 6 times with a total of 34 minutes on the pitch, 17 touches of the ball. My memory of him is that he played a lot more. His infamy probably skewed my memory a little.

WOW. Hate. I'm not sure I hate anyone; dislike some yes and there's certainly several former Leeds players that I was not keen on - Hunter, Giles, Bremner come immediately to mind. Patrick Bamford is nowhere near that category, to me.

Just my opinion but I think he's a bit soft and was fortunate to get an England cap. The comment about not shedding a tear was merely a reference to him reportedly crying in his car when he was at Burnley.

I believe he will attract interest from good championship clubs and could sign for one if he wants to, but if he does I think he'll spend a lot of time on the treatment table.

He told him at the end of last season but he’s not found another club so they’ve mutually agreed to terminate his contract. Doing it now means he can join a club after the window closes.

Bamford is fine, it didn't work out at Burnley, but he's a very good footballer. Not sure he deserves any grief.

Whether or not that’s true, he was a poor fit for Dyche - who sounds like he didn’t exactly handle things well either.

Whilst I will be ever grateful to Sean Dyche for what he did for our club and the joy and pleasure he gave me and my son during his tenure. All the fantastic results and away days, seeing my team compete in the Premier League and in European competition.

However, there remains a part of me that was always uncomfortably with his management and management style.

He certainly showed traits which in my opinion amounted to bullying. And as a father I see nothing wrong in Bamford’s parents attending the occasion of the beginning of the next stage of his career.
