Always good to see City get beat. Trafford looked steady enough but thought maybe he should have stayed put for the second?

Why was Rogers not booked then for the most blatant dive in the box?

Villa look stale - nowhere near the side we played 2 seasons ago.

Surprised Palace have scored 3 given they play a back 5.

Burnley players scored 3 of the 5 that counted, unfortunately 1 was an o.g.

Comment on Egan-Riley after his straight red card:

‘He is out of his depth unfortunately…. Needs a few more seasons in the Championship or even league One in the UK…., OM is a step too far…. Definitely has the talent but lacks big match experience‘

Villa look weak this year. Unless they do something drastic tomorrow think they could really struggle. Europa league on Thursdays as well.

Egan Riley was playing as a left centre back and was clearly uncomfortable with his role. In his first two games he played on the right and OM have been caught out playing a high line and players have got in behind them. He wasn't at fault. Yesterday he struggled with balls coming in on his wrong side. Got caught out in midfield in possession and slid through the attacker trying to make up for his error. Other than that he's not looked out of place. Saying he's out of his depth is very harsh.

CJER was good last year, but I did think some of the responses from our fans about him were over the top.

He had the best player in the Championship by miles playing alongside him and a team set up to protect and defend. In that role understandably he thrived and his passing stood out.

There’s a massive difference between defending in a system set up to protect and defending man for man in a high line. Michael Keane and Harry Maguire are great examples of that.

He’s been proper shafted here. Donnarumma only 26, Traff is 23 next month.
