That's It Folks!
Our transfer window has ended with the local press (just the Burnley Express now) being told they can stand down.
Manuel Benson's loan move to Swansea, previously reported and on which I jumped, has still not been confirmed. I might have to be writing an "It's not happened," article tomorrow.
Good night all.

Last season was it not still possible to loan to EFL clubs for a short while after the window closed?

No - that's not been possible for a good few years now - they used to have an extended loan window but that's long gone.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 10:33 pmLast season was it not still possible to loan to EFL clubs for a short while after the window closed?

The Turkish transfer window doesn't close for a couple of weeks does it, so there could still be the odd outgoing..........

Clubs in the Netherlands, Norway and Brazil will have an additional day to complete their business, with the windows in those countries closing on Tuesday 2 September.
It's 5 September for teams in Austria, Croatia and Ukraine, 8 September for those in Belgium and Poland, and 9 September for sides in the Czech Republic, Romania and Switzerland.
The Saudi Pro League transfer window closes on 10 September. In Turkey, the window shuts on 11 September. It's 12 September in Greece.

Re: That's It Folks!
One often sees comments suggesting that we struggle to sign players because East Lancashire's seen as a less attractive destination for players compared to the big city (most especially London) clubs. Look on the bright side... What must it be like for the Ukrainian sides?

Not really. They all, or most of them, live around Manchester.AfloatinClaret wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 3:08 pmOne often sees comments suggesting that we struggle to sign players because East Lancashire's seen as a less attractive destination for players compared to the big city (most especially London) clubs. Yeah always found that an odd take, do away fans think that the players are all living on Leyland Road and spend their free time cavorting under the Culvert?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2025 3:41 pmNot really. They all, or most of them, live around Manchester.

Re: That's It Folks!
Tom Heaton lived locally when we first signed him but he soon moved out. I would think Connor Roberts probably lives the closest, he’s next door but one to the chairman.
Re: That's It Folks!
I'm not sure many Spurs players live in Tottenham (all due respect to the good folk who do).
