FA screw up again
I’m divided on this. They have put undue pressure on Atwell, which is outrageous, but I believe in free speech.

If free speech was an absolute right, then no-one would ever be booked for dissent.

Forest are becoming one of my least favourite clubs. Used to like them as well.

Re: FA screw up again
I’d love it if the ref reviewed his own game and a belated yellow was awarded for every instance of outright lying to the ref. Separate to the in game yellows but after 5 you miss a game. It would either stop it or Fernandes would miss every 6th match and I believe it would stop it.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm getting sick of football being in the courts so often.

It gets more and more ethically doubtful by the day. You have to ask questions as to just what is going on because some clubs can get away with everything whilst others suffer punishment and restrictions. The PL is far from squeaky clean as far ass I am concerned.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 9:55 pmDon't know about anyone else but I'm getting sick of football being in the courts so often.

I think Atwell was making some corrupt decisions that season.
Some of his officiating was utterly bizarre.

I'm not sure if this is blending two stories together and getting the wrong outcome.
From what I read in the Athletic, who are generally better at this type of story, the point was that Forest didn't want the same KC as judged on the Atwell case judging the Chelsea match and failing to control players. The FA disagreed, lost the case and have to pay costs.

Only going to increase I’m afraid. Far too much money involved these days for lawyers not to be skimming off the top….Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 9:55 pmDon't know about anyone else but I'm getting sick of football being in the courts so often.

I like Marinakis, he’s a lunatic but he’s certainly put his money where his mouth is and he refuses to just allow Forest to be trampled on from the “bigger” clubs, biased officials, authorities and even media.
Basically anyone who goes against Forest is the enemy and won’t be backed down to. I like that approach and I’m sure the Forest fans will love him for it.
