Re: Kyle Walker
It was a joy to watch him playing in a Burnley shirt. His ability on the ball, vision whilst in and out of possession is a massive asset to our team. Best player today IMO. Two or three others today showing that they are not fazed by PL football.

Re: Kyle Walker
Loads of credit due to Walker
He could have gone Saudi like some and picked up a shed load of cash. Instead he's committed to Burnley and uses all his skill and experience in a team that is going to have a real battle to stay in the league.
Well done Kyle.

I have to say I had never been a fan of Kyle Walker ...
Untill he pulled on a Burnley Shirt ... what a revelation he has been ... I am now a fan of Kyle Walker

Re: Kyle Walker
Can’t believe we signed him unchallenged by other clubs.
Today was not a great day for him. Must have given the ball away more than anyone on the pitch.

Re: Kyle Walker
He helps provide great physicality and athleticism , alongside Esteve, Uguchukwu , Luis and Foster. I dont recall having as much of this in the team when its become one of the pre requisites for survival in the PL

This was seen in the tunnel pre-match.BobbyBoucher wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 7:26 pmFantastic player.
Also, I don't know whether Im seeing this but Ive been watching his interactions with the referees.
It's like the refs treat him differently, like they realise they are talking to a guy who has 90 England caps, there seems to be a lot more respect and tolerance of talking from him.

Re: Kyle Walker
Exceptional for 90% couple of loose passes.
He was the one who got us out of the trenches, in the first half.

Re: Kyle Walker
After the first 15-20 minutes, where he was running, chasing absolutely everything, desperate to get us back in the match, i thought there's no way he can keep this up at his age...he bloody well did.
What an incredible signing he is.

Re: Kyle Walker
It’s still mad that anyone questioned his signing. Not sure I ever thought I’d see a better Burnley right back than Trippier but here we go.
Re: Kyle Walker
Has he retired from international football? Anyway he's not in the latest England squad, there must be some very good English right-backs out there?

Re: Kyle Walker
6 games in with a -7 GD might offer some food for thought. That's not to entirely attribute the collective defensive unit it's hardly looking like fort knox right now but as often reminded (on here) easier games await.quoonbeatz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 21, 2025 10:55 amIt’s still mad that anyone questioned his signing. Early days obviously, but Walker has been one of our best players, as many people on here predicted he would be.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 5:00 pm6 games in with a -7 GD might offer some food for thought. Re: Kyle Walker
Of course but is it wise to discredit any doubters at this point when we are only 6 games in especially on the back of a 5-1 defeat. Our defence so far has been anything but tight. We may disagree but I hold a defensive unit collectively to count without singling anybody for praise or criticism.

Re: Kyle Walker
I'm not sure what that's supposed to prove. I'm not comparing VK & SP or the defensive records at the 6 game point. The point I'm making is that KW so far in as been ok & it's far too early to call judgement on any doubters who harboured concerns prior. I can understand & fully get onboard with the argument with us being in a healthy league position with a positive or even neutral GD. FFS sat in bottom 3 with -7 it's hardly maldini stuff. I'm sorry I can't be more enthused but cold hard facts come to the fore.

Why so defensive ... I was just comparing the 2 seasons ... not having a go at you JakubJakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 5:32 pmI'm not sure what that's supposed to prove. Re: Kyle Walker
But if you watched the games, you'd know he's been better than OK. This is your problem with never watching football; you simply don't see for yourself how good Walker has been this season. Burnley fans who watch us do not need to see stats to know this.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 5:32 pmI'm not sure what that's supposed to prove. Re: Kyle Walker
I do watch football & I do think some of us are seduced by past history & previous pedigree even though it doesn't match reality. I never said he's been bad I said he's been ok. So far in it's been steady. There's a misconception that people who don't attend football regularly don't understand what's going on but we do have access to television/radios/newspapers & friends that do attend. We don't reside in a far away desert estranged from civilization.ollieclarets8 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 5:49 pmBut if you watched the games, you'd know he's been better than OK. Re: Kyle Walker
That table isn’t quite right. We had 1 point after 6 games and a GD of -11. The Luton game was supposed to be game 2 for us, but it was moved and ended up being the 7th fixture we played.

Re: Kyle Walker
He hasn’t retired but Tuchel doesn’t look like he has any intention of picking him. Would be a real shame if he’s left hanging on 96 caps.
