I don't think many would have believed Ekdal and Foster would be above Esteve at the start of the season

Would be interesting to compare with this stage 2 years ago. From gut feel I think we are considerably better placed.

It will only really start to be indicative when we've played a few more of our "winnable" games.

By the time we've played West Ham on 8th Nov if the scores are in the same ball park we should be ok.

At the same point two seasons ago just Ameen Al-Dakhi (7.14) and Lyle Foster (7.10) over seven and it went down to Zeki Amdouni with 5.17.

A bit higher than I expected.

They seem higher than players got in the championship while winning most weeks.

I reckon Foster would move up slightly if you disregarded the couple of posters that would give him a 4 even if he bagged a hat trick at Anfield.

Is it one goal in 6 league games for Foster?

Well it should bex3 out of 6, in a fair world.

His contribution has been immense, so far.

I remember waiting for the 'winnable' games under VK. It never happened.

I hope it's different this time.

Hannibal's position is an interesting one.

Just above two players who have never looked near good enough.

Fosters score is ridiculously high due to the posters who decide to uprate his score because he gets stick ( and rightly so )

I mean a higher rating than Anthony… utter laughable

To be fair, I see Parker as a bit less stubborn and pragmatic tactically than VK was with his leaky, suicidal at times defence but I could yet be proved wrong.

You know he scored 3 and we and him were cheated out of 2. It just highlights that he could score 20 and you would say he was lucky they all bounced in by accident.

I think Foster has done a good job but I don't expect his goal ratio to improve much beyond 1 in 5 by the end of the season.

The problem is that there are no obviously easier games outside of Wolves. Watched Brentford and they look a decent side. Villa will improve and the other two promoted side have had solid starts to the season.

I mean United, Newcastle, Villa and Forest are 14th, 15th,16th and 17th respectively - it's quite scary really.

Big Ange was probably a poor appointment at Forest but Nuno probably a good one at West Ham.

So, I think the reality is that we are much improved on VKs squad but Foster needs to get to 1 in 3 or we will struggle simply because of the quality of the PL and the fact that the promoted teams seem to be in decent shape. Of course, Broja may emerge as the season progresses and give us that extra something up front and it may be that the likes of Brentford and Bournemouth are not as good as they look on TV..

Probably sums up the issue with Hannibal. He's very up and down. He's as far from a steady Eddy as it gets. He's either a 4 or an 8, which puts his current average just about where I'd expect it!

He’s scored 1. That’s an undeniable fact. Why do people keep making out he was cheated out of 2 when he clearly wasn’t?

1. He’s scored one goal.

2. He’s never scoring 20 goals at any level.

3. Based on your logic, Dubravka’s amazing amount of clean sheets must really be catching the eye on our European charge.
