Great interview on youtube too from him after the game - comes across as having a very good head on his shoulders. Hope it all goes well and really do want this lad to break through into the first team.

I was introduced to him about six years ago when he was 14 and sat watching a reserve game on the Turf with one of the coaches we had then in the youth department. I've not spoken to him since but everyone I talk to tells me he's a really good kid and he certainly comes over that way in interviews.

Thanks for that, Tony. I thought he looked pretty good TBH. He's slimmer than I expected. His attitude doesn't ever seem to have been in question but he quite simply hardly played at York or Morecambe. Easy to say now of course but maybe it would have been better for him to start in The National. He's 20 now and he really needs to push on.
