Good luck to the guy, he's been democratically elected.
Obviously (as per the Brexit vote), a lot of liberals will be critical and unaccepting because they've had it all their own way for too long. The pendulum swings.

The BBC's coverage of this is an embarrassment, making Trump supporters look as stupid or violent as they can, like the hairy bikers they were interviewing. Newsnight last night was excruciating, and that was just Emily Maitlis's jacket. I'm not sure I can get through the next hour without switching off though maybe when the pundits are not speaking it is bearable.

I tend to think instinctively Trump may do a poor job (though would never have voted for Clinton either) but the media bias against him here is so great that I do begin to wonder if in fact he will do a lot better than has been suggested to people.

We seem to have a media that abuses America and Russia, whilst adoring China. In 100 years we may look back at that as one of the great follies of history. I have a sense that Trump sees it.

What is wrong with being critical and unaccepting?

Is any of the criticism of him unfair? If so, what criticism is unfair?

What a load of nationalist sh-ite.

The UK needs to offer him out - winner takes all. We could do it in Greenland.

Then Britain will be Great once more

Jeez it keeps on showing some scary shots of his supporters - at least there are a few cousins and sisters not getting sha-gged for a few hours

While no Trump fan ( and a keen remain voter) You can't help but observe the way the BBC has been covering this the last couple of days,it's been laughable bordering on unproffessional. They seem to think they're covering a fancy dress fun run,or a Gay Pride festival, seemingly finding any old fancy dress nut job for a toe curling soundbite.

Much as I find Trump preposterous, having a hard nosed businessman in the hot seat could be no bad thing, coupled with fact that he's made millions of liberals wet their beds and for that i'll be eternally grateful

I wouldn't call having nearly 3 million votes fewer than your opponent being "voted in by the people of America".

It's also literally untrue since presidents are elected by the electoral college, not the people.
