Turf Moor Memorial Garden Crowd Funding
Following the Southampton game i noticed a rather forlorn banner attached to the railings behind the Jimmy Mac stand advertising a Turf Moor Memorial garden. Having recently lost a relative who was up until ill health a season ticket holder for many years i though what a great idea, must look into it. So i made a note of the website address http://www.turfmoormemorialgarden.com I was surprised to read that the original inception dated back to 2015, what was more surprising was that a crowd funding attempt to raise £45k is currently very poorly supported. To date only 3 donations totaling just over £1000 have been made. Whilst i do think that this would be a great project for the club to undertake, i can understand that the club will probably only support it if there is a will & a demand from its supporters. At the moment it looks like supporters aren't too fussed, or like me they hadn't heard anything about it. Therefore, i'm urging all fellow clarets to get behind this idea. If like me, you have lost someone close, what better place to remember them, on a visit to the Turf. Lets get behind this idea and hopefully we can help raise the total so that it becomes a reality.
