winning 1-0 at Arsenal. yes

Post by Wile E Coyote » Sat Jan 21, 2017 2:10 am

Bit tough to pull it off, but my thought is Defour in the 13th minute.

We're long overdue a win, so why not?
Ive stuck a fiver on us too win at 16/1.
0-1 and Detour to score is 390/1 on betfair.

I fancy some of this as well, if we play Barton, Defour and Hendrick and take the odd chance that will inevitably pop up, then who knows?

These lads of ours never stop surprising me, so why stop now?

Detour? Did he come in though the January window via Barnsley and Blackpool?

A winning goal way after the whistle has blown which is the result of a hand ball and offside would send me to A and E with a chronic smirk.

It's karma time. I've had a bet on us at 18/1. Odds usually reserved for Bacup vs Real Madrid. Truth is everything has to go our way for us to win. But we are a solid team. We have just been over anxious away. I think the players are starting to believe we will stay up so I would not be surprised by the best away performance of the season.

It's funny how you get a 'feeling' about somethings.
After Andre scored against Boro I had a gut feeling that he would get a hattrick against Sunland.
I've had a similar feeling all week that we will get a result today. They might hammer us from pillar to post, but the outcome will be the same. I'm just surprises that this feeling of optimism is so wide spread for this match. Normally I get nervous about these games, but not this one. Somehow it's written in the stars.

Some karma after their handball goal in added time would be great with it being on sky too. Wanted payback ever since that game.

Never seen us get a result in any form at Arsenal
Away form is very concerning but we are getting closer
Players of value out weigh ours by a country mile
Top level point return count away in the Capital is dismal
We have lost all our Sunday matches so far this season
Scoring away is very sparse
So for all them reasons I am going off law of average here with all my knowledge of supporting the mighty Clarets with the fact of being so cruelly denied a point that we was deservedly robbed of
I am going for an away win we have done it before in these situations lets see it again come on you clarets lets do the gunners in their own backyard UTC

Are people really ******* away money by betting on us to win at the Emirates?
Lets be honest, it's borderline delusional and just stupid. It shows the type of characters on here, a large majority need a serious reality check, living with your head up your ass can't be that great. Hopefully we catch them on an off day and they get 2 red cards, that's probably our only chance of beating them. I predict a 2-0 loss, we don't offer a goalscoring threat away from home.

You can't. That would be like the bookies giving 480/1 on a 1-0 win. Still think it's worth a punt at 40/1 though.

We did that at Spurs and looked good.

Its a tough one because gung ho against a side of arsenals quality is suicidal. They are the sort that will catch you on the break time and again. At the same time invte pressure on and they will open us up with the creativity they have. Arsenal usually walk it against the smaller sides, its the results against Chelsea, United and Liverpool that usually undo them.

That said an early goal, get the Arsenal fans on them and who knows? We start with the same number of players on the field as them so discipline and composure and you never know...

I meant 2 separate bets

£5 on 12/1 win
£5 on 40/1 win 1-0

If we win 1-0 both bets pay out
If we win by other score I'll get the 12/1 payout

Betway have just offered me a £10 free bet if I wager £10 on any sports market.

Normally I would match this up for an easy £8 rinse but fhuck it, it's going on the Clarets with no cover.

If we had Colin Blant marking Sanchez we might have a small chance but down at their place he has been impossible to handle.

My hope is that Sean will experiment with three at the back bringing Tarka into the team and try and park the bus. If we go one down switch the full backs for the likes of Boyd, JBG or even Derrick and have a go.

Boro drew there. As for no goal scoring threat, Gray missed a great chance against Spurs, before Barnes scored. I'd say Spurs are the better team at the moment.

It's a gamble but for a small wager there is a possibility of making a nice return, Brexit was never on the cards but it happened, Trump for President was an absolute non-runner, Paddy Power paid out on Clinton before the vote, Swansea 3-2 at Liverpool would never happen, would it?
Pays your money you takes your chance, if you're not in you can't win, no point telling people they are delusional or stupid because they enjoy taking a punt on their team they have supported all their lives, I put loads of silly bets on all the time involving Burnley and other teams sports and have had some excellent results over the years.

Burnley are top of the Premier pile for money won on a £10 bet every match, because they keep beating teams they 'shouldn't'. Open a new account so you get the free bet if it loses :) .

Swansea pulled one out of the hat yesterday and didn`t Middlesborough get a point away to Arsenal earlier in the season? Anything is possible I just never get that sense when WE are playing away. In my mind, for us to get anything, we need to shoehorn Barnes, Defour and Barton into the starting 11. Tarkowski`s never going to get a starting berth (rightly or wrongly) until Keane is either out injured or sold so a waste of time proposing it.

Heaton
Lowton Keane Mee Ward
Boyd Hendrick Barton Defour Barnes
Gray...

...and hope for a 1-0 win after a 35th minute Gray goal and a superbly marshalled rearguard effort in the last 25 minutes.
