Re: Juke
Edgar was sub standard. By saying Howe fancied him, I mean literally as you seem to.
Edgar played predominately in a poor Clarets side, juke played in the premier league (I know Edgar did a couple of times but only because there wasn't better available) as a proper 1st team player. Again, Edgar was never really that.
Like most players Edgar looked better with a run of games but that rarely happened. He was a stand by/fill in/make do , at best. Put simply, he'd struggle to get in the Dev squad now.

Re: Juke
Wade, Blake, McCann, Caldwell etc wouldnt get in our development squad now cos it was over 5+ years ago.
Eli, Conroy, Deary etc only played for us because we were **** but what great servants of the club we'd all agree they were
Are you honestly saying Juke for the millions he cost us gave more to Burnley than Edgar. Edgar wasnt the greatest player but like many players (ala Branch) he never gave less than 100% was a great team member and gave all he could for Burnley while he was with us.
Give me one good reason why Juke, Sordell or Reid sholud be more revered in the history of Burnley than David Edgar?

Please, don't get overly menstrual as its only a bit of fun on a f*ckin message board. Juke scored against the ba5tards, so don't get your panties in a bunch because if you do you might get thought of as a complete c*nt.CharlieinNewMexico wrote:rehash rehash rehash. Great comeback, see youve quit arguing your point and resorted back to type with your immature little dig instead. I'll give you credit at least you actually tried to have opinion rather than your usual sad bitter little go at people and even if you did ultimately fail but at least you triedBennyD wrote:Hahaha. Re: Juke
why don't you two exchange texts so you can have your own conversation in private?
Re: Juke
Yeah and if he'd have scored that header from 2 yards out against Villa at home we may have never been relegated. My Grandma would have put that in the back of the netminnieclaret wrote:He also didn't play 32 games for us. He made 32 appearances, some of them for very few minutes. If he'd got the pens he deserved at Leeds and home to Brum things might have been different.

Quality do you not grasp the whole purpose of a message board. You are either drunk, stupid or a combination of the two

Unfortunately the majority on here lack the intelligence needed to have a genuine debate about football. I raise what I think is a valid point, instead of posters providing a counter argument I get shot down with the same ''You're a bas***d fan'' ''KRBFC ruined the topic''Devils_Advocate wrote:Haha what rubbish. A lot of posters on here are scared to put forward their genuine opinion, in fear of coming across as ''negative'' it's a real shame there's so many sheep.

Re: Juke
Where are all the threads fawning over Sordell and Grant? And all the threads denouncing Edgar?
McDonald showed flashes of brilliance but never got his head together whilst at Burnley, hence the frustration. He's been in league one ever since.
Eagles left for Bolton so obviously there will be some acrimony there, his career has tailed off massively but if anything recent threads about him being released from Accy were positive and wishing him well.
Edgar was a bit part player at best and part of a frustrating period in the championship under Howe. I barely remembered him.
The reason Juke is regarded as a cult hero is entirely becasue he never scored a competitive goal for us. Plus he seems a nice guy and a good squad member (without directly contributing on the pitch.)
Oh, and this thread was to mention him scoring against our rivals. Do you think one wouldn't have been started had it been Edgar, McDonald or Eagles?

Re: Juke
It's not that you're negative. I. personally, quite like your counter balancing point of view. It's just that this has been going on soooooo long? You made your point years ago. We got it. Why does it have to be resurfaced every single time? We get it, ok?KRBFC wrote:Unfortunately the majority on here lack the intelligence needed to have a genuine debate about football. This was a thread about Juke scoring against Rovers. Nothing else. No need for a (yet) further rehash. That simple.
