Massanka targeted with racist remarks
Massanka has tweeted about racism at the game today. Serious shame that stuff like that still happens. Hope it doesn't dishearten the lad.

Was this disgraceful behaviour that of Wrexham fans, or Chester's?

Not entirely sure, he just tweeted something along the lines of: "sad there is a small minority of racist fans. Il just smile and laugh at the minority thanks".
I'm assuming it was from the opposite teams fans.

Hopefully his twitter isnt 4 years old.
Re: Massanka targeted with racist remarks
He has got a bright future in front of him,he will earn money and respect,he will be a role model,he might play for England he hopefully will play in the best league in the world. The person who shouted the abuse will bore a small group of like minded people drinking lager in dossy pub bragging that he shouted something at a fit young athlete from the safety of the terrace protected by stewards who in different circumstances no doubt could knock seven shades of sh1t out of him but more importantly could just compare IQ's and walk away triumphant. Not sure if there is such a thing as reincarnation but if there is I know who's I would sooner come back as.

Always a small minority of tossers where ever you go.
Hopefully it was just one or two drunken idiots as opposed to a section chanting, that would be quite disturbing in this day and age.

I had to say something to one of our fans at Stoke for racist comments. He kind of edited himself the first time but then just let his mouth go. He got told in no uncertain terms to cut it out but not one other person said anything or backed me up in confronting him. Everyone in the vicinity should collectively eject anybody who does this as a way to help stamp it out - make the racist scumbags do the walk of shame. No place for them.

The unfortunate thing is, those with loud, racist voices, are often drowned out by the quiet, logical minded ones. And unfortunately I wouldn't risk getting a pasting off someone for telling them to stop saying X, Y and Z.

I didn't realize Chester or Wrexham fans adhered to a 1500 year old regressive ideology that a significant minority act upon, whether that be with violence, regressive laws, customs or imposing political theology. If they do, please tell me, and I'll change my views accordingly.Imploding Turtle wrote:He is (inelegantly) asking if you're equally as prudent when it comes to assuming Muslims are bad because a tiny minority of them are terrorists as you are when it comes to assuming Wrexham or chester fans are bad because a tiny minority of them are racist.

Not OK when a significant minority of Muslims do it, but perfectly fine when a significant minority of Christians do it.ClaretMoffitt wrote:I didn't realize Chester or Wrexham fans adhered to a 1500 year old regressive ideology that a significant minority act upon, whether that be with violence, regressive laws, customs or imposing political theology. In fact, in a thread about people protesting against regressive laws, customs and the imposition of political theology this is what you had to say when the theology in question was Christianity.
So when it's women in a majority christian country speaking out in defence of their own rights against political theology your response is to dismiss them, and point to Saudi Arabia. In short, Christian oppression of women is OK because Muslims do it too. That's what yur opinion seems to be based on your differing reactions to the two.ClaretMoffitt wrote:My thoughts exactly.
Truth is though, special interest groups using identity politics like this aren't actually out for a genuine authentic progressive cause, mearly to further their own left wing agendas.
Otherwise there would be global women's protests over Saudi Arabia, for example in its treatment of women.

As I've said before, I reckon there are quite a few Burnley fans who would rather see the likes of Andre Gray playing for someone else.

Racism is an unusual concept, because you can't be totally against a certain thing, because it will effect you in some way, be it the clothes you wear, the electronics you use or the stores you buy stuff in.
This weird mentality of people hating "pakis" and yes, it's a word, it's not being used in a racist connotation in this context, will gladly buy a curry when they are ****** up on their **** Belgian lager and being driving home by Mohammed at 4am.

I honestly can't be more clear than in post #37. If you still can't understand then i'm sorry, but i can't make it more simple for you.
Trump and his government are going to defund Planned Parenthood for religious reasons, they're going to roll back access to contraception for religious reasons, they're going to work to remove reproductive rights for religious reasons. That's why there's a women's march and not a men's march on Washington today. I'm sure there are other reasons for which they're protesting, but it's reasons like this that are their main cause in Washington. And is was in the thread for talking about this protest where you dismissed their protest.
I didn't bring Islam into it, someone else did that and you couldn't figure out what they were trying to say, so i helped you. You're the one who then decided to point out that Islam is repressive and that many, too many, Muslims "imposing political theology" on people. You're right of course, but you're the one that brought that into the discussion. Not me. All i did was point out that in another thread you casually dismissed protesters who were protesting against American Republicans "imposing political theology" while in another thread criticising Muslims for "imposing political theology".
All i did was 1) help you understand what someone else was saying, and 2) point out that you hold inconsistent beliefs regarding the imposition of political theology.

That other incident wasn't at Stoke, I think it was at Wolves but I can't be certain given it was something like 15 years ago. Other than an inaccurate claim that both things happened at Stoke which I'm pretty sure you've made up all by yourself, did you have a point?

However, for legal purposes, a thread appeared on here shortly after your claim last year, that denied the incident involving DB ever occurred!

Re: Massanka targeted with racist remarks
It's possible I did say Stoke but it was what I witnessed that stayed in my memory, not the colour of the seats. If pressed I'd say it happened at Wolves but I'm not 100% in any case. I certainly wouldn't get a kick out of making that kind if thing up about a complete stranger.
