Surely we'll get a few wins away?
Surely we'll get a few wins away?
We've now played Spurs, Man city and Arsenal, scoring in all three. Aside from Liverpool and Everton, the quality of of the players we now face for the rest of the season won't be as good.
Any reason not to feel positive considering we have to play most of the teams in the bottom half?

We have also ticked off Chelsea away and United away.

Re: Surely we'll get a few wins away?
We've improved considerably lately. I remember when we played Soton away (and travelled down for that mauling at WBA) I couldn't believe how sh!t we were. We set up as though we were Gateshead and had drawn a PL team away in the Cup - and it was the last minute and we were defending for a draw and a replay.
Totally different against Spurs, City and Arsenal - 3 very talented teams. We had 5 shots on target v Arsenal today - we were averaging like 2 per game early on weren't we?
It will come and it will come soon. COYC

As long as we don't lose to sunderland , Swansea and Hull it's fine. We don't have to win any but we must not lose a few of them.
Re: Surely we'll get a few wins away?
Yes we will, could and should have had a point today.

The biggest difference is the pressing from the front against City Arsenal and Tottenham, we tried to press them and force them to go long, if we had adopted the same mentality and tactics away from home sooner, we'd have an away win by now.Claretmatt4 wrote:We've improved considerably lately. I don't really see any away games being easy for us, even against the bottom 3.
We need to keep the ball better, and not get pushed back so deep, will we do any better at that playing (say) Swansea?

Agreed. We showed far too much respect early in the season.KRBFC wrote:The biggest difference is the pressing from the front against City Arsenal and Tottenham, we tried to press them and force them to go long, if we had adopted the same mentality and tactics away from home sooner, we'd have an away win by now.
