Looks like our targets are being held onto for the highest bidder and we are at risk of taking this to the wire and not strengthening. That could be a disaster with Marney out and Joey on a ban. Also we still need at least one and possible two new wingers.

Is there anything we could be doing differently in our transfer dealings? We clearly aren't being stingy with bids this time around.

I'm more than anxious and close to pretty pi..ed off with our inability
to get (as yet) any of our targets in.
Even if we don't stay up I believe we need to sort out our tranfer policy and
update and up grade it significantly especially in the overseas market.
We've proved to be rank amateurs in the past and even though we now seem to be ready
to make realistic bids we don't seem to be able to close off deals.

Have to agree regarding transfers, I know the club are probably not looking at everyone they have been linked with, but we do still seem to be the poorer cousins in the transfer market, Europe has to be the way and having a rethink of our scouting networks not just being in and around England. Hayek who went to PSV in the summer and there were mentions we had shown interest has scored something like 11 goals so far this season an attacking pacey midfielder exactly what we seemed to miss yesterday, that and officials with decent Specs.
