The Drongo of Bellend Road

Post by minnieclaret » Tue Jan 24, 2017 11:33 pm

Free to watch on BFI films.
Jump straight to 18.48 to see a proper football team and Fletch's overhead kick.
For those too young to have seen this.

Loved it. Except Cunter walking into the dressing room after ending Frank Casper's career.

At 8.20......"Everton 1 Burnley 3 : Burnleys approach was not one of finesse...."

:D :D

Set o' dirty bastids. Great to see those goals going in.

Recall that day like it was yesterday. Looking towards a semi final the following week but our league form since the turn of the year hadn't been good. The week before we'd come from behind, scoring 3 goals in 5 minutes to beat Everton 3-1 but the performance at Elland Road was outstanding with Frank Casper playing at the peak of his ability. We know what happened next.

Three goals in three minutes, Silky. ;)

Waldron 76, Nulty 78 and James 79.

Love the 'you're better than anyone' pep talk that Revie gives before the game. And then they get royally spanked. You've got laugh.

Still hate Leeds.
