How many games took place in the 34 years?
As part of the ongoing banter with the desperate Rovers fans I work with they keep clinging to the 34 years during which we never beat them.
I counter that with the fact we probably only played them 6 times in that period, which they will not have.
Anybody know how many times we actually met during that period?

It's about 11/12.
We're half way to that total of undefeated against them, but they're clinging on to years, not actual games.
We had similar runs against other teams that Dyche ended too last season, like Ipswich I think plus we haven't beaten WBA at the Hawthorns for even longer, but a similar number of games.
They're running out of things to hold on too tbh, I've got one on FB today stating that the loan from Flood/Modus is exactlyt the same as Walker chucking money at Rovers, just on a smaller scale.
The same bloke last season stated that Rovers defence was statistically better then ours, which it was up to a point, but we were still above Rovers in the table.
They've been spouting similar stuff this season.

Was actually thinking this the other day. In September we will be a quarter of the way to our own 34 year 'record'

Just checked. Was 1 with over 1/3 of them draws!
Also the away FA Cup was technically a draw.

Re: How many games took place in the 34 years?
We beat them in both league games in 1978/79 but didn't win for another 35 years.
Games were
1-2: Second Division in 1982/83, both lost
3-4: Division One in 2000/01, both lost
5-6: FA Cup in 2004/05, draw and defeat
7-8: Premier League in 2009/10, both lost
9-10: Championship in 2012/13, both drawn
11: Championship in 2013/14, drawn
Since - three successive wins and six undefeated.

As the diving turd cheated us in the 2010 match. Minnie states they haven't beaten us since 2009.
8 years and counting

On current trajectories, it could be a good few years til we play 'em again.
I'm sure as the number of years mount up they'll be quick to point out that it's only six games.
