I don't think I've ever been more underwhelmed coming back from a game of football than I was that Sunday!Devils_Advocate wrote:Watford was the QF game if thats what youre thinking of back in 2003

Re: cup question/warnock
Agree completely think he left Little and Blake on the bench and played Taylor upfront on his own.
The 3 or 4 away games building up to it we'd played awful with that team but scraped some 1-0 wins and goaless draws so our form looked good on paper but everyone could see we were gonna come unstuck sooner rather than later. Stan really bottled it that day

Agreed. The fans turned up; the team definitely didn't.Cheshireclaret wrote:I don't think I've ever been more underwhelmed coming back from a game of football than I was that Sunday!

Re: cup question/warnock
Didn't the clubs agree between them that the loser would keep all the gate money from that game as the winner would get more from the semi final alone?
Or that was the rumour at that time

Yes I remember that, we also made a deal with sheff Utd that the loser from the playoff final would keep gate receipts I think.wilks_bfc wrote:Didn't the clubs agree between them that the loser would keep all the gate money from that game as the winner would get more from the semi final alone?
