Re: Where's that striker?

2 bumps of old threads and 2 new treads all from ABC before 9am.

This is going to be a long day.

At least he'll go quiet around 4pm when he set's off for the Leicester game...

Dyche has said he wants a striker and will then let agyei go on loan.

Because nobody has mentioned a striker on here for a couple of days. The recruitment staff and Sean Dyche have forgot we have only 3.
Good work ABC.

I don't think it's a neccessity personally, three strikers is enough when they all contribute the odd goal likes ours do.

What's the point of signing a fourth to never play, ala Bamford. I would rather we use a kid as the backup to the backup and to get on the bench every now and then, we have bigger concerns.

I'll have to check but I believe all 3 have scored in the PL this season and whilst Barnes isn't on fire, he didn't do too bad last time round considering.

Strikers win matches, an injury to Gray and it will become a long season, although likely a 4-5-1 one.

Dan Agyei?

Dyche will do very well to find a striker who will come here to be 4th choice - like Bamford was. Why have a youngster from another team when we have one of our own?

I agree we need a 4th striker on loan, maybe Dyche sees Agyei as this man - who knows? I suppose we will know one way or the other by 11pm this evening.

ABC was repeatedly saying agyei is good enough and should be given his chance which is inconsistent with what he's saying now.

Perhaps SD should start a new thread headed "Where's that spectator? "

I like Agyei and he did have exceptional raw talent but the experts on here say he has regressed badly and is nowhere near the level required to play for us. Mind you sometimes I'm a bit like DT experts be damned.

I agree. If Agyei is still here tomorrow I guess he'll be starting on the bench the next game.

I'd definitely be on the lookout for a striker.

The lack of links to strikers makes me think that such a signing is unlikely. I expect Brady and that's it. Anyone else will be a bonus at this point.

Yep another striker would be nice. Hogan is a decent buy for Villa, slightly on the expensive side but one I'd have been happy with.

Agyei is not ready yet, get him out to a championship club and let's get another in

Berbatov is in London

Yes, I saw that. He was in talks with a Premier League club a few weeks ago and couldn't agree terms apparently.

Could do a lot worse than Berbatov, certainly better than Bamford

I also think we need another striker but it doesn't look
as if we will be signing one unless something pops up at the last minute.
Possibly another loan?
