Andre Gray Versus Jamie Cheating Vardy
Both have been compared a lot as they have risen from non-league to playing at the highest level - But what a contrast we saw tonight.
One player contrived to cheat the referee into giving him a penalty - kicking our goalkeeper to try and make it look as if he had been 'tripped' and then disgracefully flinging himself to the floor.
The other stayed on his feet despite being fouled numerous times, playing as the spirit and laws of the game dictate you should.
One was a cheat who wasn't punished.
One was a true sportsman who was not given the free kicks and penalties his honest play deserved.

Re: Andre Gray Versus Jamie Cheating Vardy
Other than the corner that he took/scuffed at the end I don't think Vardy touched the ball in the second half

Great post...Andre was superb...& one of the features of this season is the look of delight on his face when we score..wether he gets the goal or not...a true, honest team player!

Vardy has form for deliberately running into defenders in the box, looking for a pen.
That one just before we scored was blatant.

Re: Andre Gray Versus Jamie Cheating Vardy
Well, I sit in Bob Lord front row, and during a break in play about 5 mins after the Vardy penalty, when Tarks and Big Sam were warming up right in front of us, 5 yards away, Tom came over to them and said " that was a pen there, I definitely got him", then they all started laughing, so it seems we got away with one. Good enough for Vardy, the toss pot, can't stand him. UTC

To be fair Buxton, I saw Barnes win a free kick in the first half doing the old Vardy leg flick.

Twice Gray had the opportunity to go down in the box but didn't. Then when it didn't go his way he didn't whinge at the ref either... Honest gritty player.
