No attempt to play the ball arm clearly in Keanos back, and as could be seen this contact made him not make the properation connection and you could even see his back arching!!!
Nonsense. A pen all day, and evening for that matter.

Drinkwater also tried to stop Vokes' goal with his hand. Doesn't seem like a player that sticks to or even knows the rules.

I could understand that if drinkwaters arm had been right into the arch of keanos back, but from that view it looks like keano got his timing wrong , the ball had gone past
him by this time, I think that if I had been pushed hard in the back from a defender with his arm contacting me in those positions I think my back woud have straighter or crouced forward a bit.
To me it looks like the timing from keano was just a touch to late, and because of the minimal contact to his upper back, keanos try to see if He can get something from it.
I think Dean got this one right.

This is the problem with cameras and technology - people start misinterpreting the laws of the game based on the technology.

It doesn't matter if the ball has gone ... or whether Keane would have headed it cleanly ... or whether it might have hit the post ... or if it might have hit Schmeical in the ghoolies.

None of that is relevant.

It's also a contact sport and (although we all know and could make a good guess) you cannot be certain from the picture whether Keane is jumping back into Drinkwater or whether Drinkwater is barging his elbow into Keane. It's a static image and doesn't tell us that information - we would have to infer it somehow.

It was a clear penalty.

But the image proves nothing or disproves nothing in terms of the laws of the game.

I thought Drinkwater was very ordinary last night. Can't believe this is essentially the same Leicester as last season.Do you reckon they are saving it for their last 2 Champions League games?

In hindsight I think it was a real turning point.

The anger at the decision fired up the players and crowd. It was pretty one-sided after that.

They were on one heck of a crest of a wave, and i was absolutely delighted for them. It was also fantastic to see somebody break the monopoly. It helped with several of the big guns being somewhat off the pace, but we need stories like that in the game.

However, a lot of those players wouldn't get anywhere near the first team at places such as Chelsea, Man C etc to be fair. The main pickings have gone. The swagger has gone. They look mighty ordinary now. I can't see them saving themselves for the Champions League. They are ultimately not good enough.

We certainly do Zom Zom. I just think it'd be an even better (funnier) story if they went down this year

His arm was up and he's not got near the ball, it looked a total stonewaller from CFS and everyone went apes**t. But on every replay you see the arm barely moves him and he wouldn't have reached the ball anyway. Yes it could have been given but it's no stonewaller, there's regularly much more contact than that going on in the box that goes largely unnnoticed and we've had much better shouts than this turned down this season.

No offence but personally I think that's boll-ocks

People are over thinking this - probably like Dean did.

Simple facts are that Keane rose for the header and Drinkwater pushed him....anything else around what would have happened if he would not have pushed him is guess work and conjecture.

Put it another way - why would Drinkwater push Keane if it were not to prevent him win the header ?

It's essentially the same Leicester but not the same Leicester - the most important member of last season's team was N'Golo Kante.

If Dean had given three penalties and they had been converted, blown for the handball, we'd have won 2-1
The way I see it, the two points we have dropped against Arsenal have been returned to us.

Drinkwater has a sneaky sheepish look towards the ref right after he did it. Clear evidence of guilt m'lud

Never in a million years .................................................is that ball in F2 has to be A or B5 :D

As for the penalty surely only a Fully Qualified Ref can give you the Answer to that :D

Stonewall penalty, which would have been fortunate as even without the push Keane would have been underneath the ball. In other words if Drinkwater had not pushed him Keane wouldn't have scored anyway, but that doesn't alter it should have been a penalty

Indeed, Rigs. 8-)

You can see from that too that Georgie Boyd claimed immediately, as did even a Leicester player whose arm is visible to the right.

Besides, the looks on those cameramen's faces clearly indicate that they knew, as well.

We're not unique, referees make bad decisions nearly every game and for every team. Sometimes it works for you, sometimes against. I'm stating the obvious, but it doesn't seem to have dawned on alot of people. Particularly this season.
If you're the better team, more often than not you'll win.

I find this a general problem with British football. Calls always go against "small clubs". There is a presumed order. I think there is a tie-in with the British order of class distinction. As long as you're considered a part of the hierarchy, you can get away with murder. That is why I like certain aspects of the North American franchise system. You buy a franchise, and you become an equal. We don't have "lords" in Canada. People wouldn't stand for it. The nearest thing we have is Wayne Gretzky. If Grets says it's OK, the rest of the country agrees. When he almost became involved with the last general election, people who flabbergasted. It was like the Queen giving her approval to a certain political party. (And yes. He IS a Tory.)

Why has Drinkwater got his hand in the air (appealing?) if it's not a foul?
Really poor bit of refereeing.
Perhaps that's why he let Sam off the handball

Players appeal for everything, even the most straightforward goal produces appeals. An unchallenged player kicking the ball into touch will still appeal for the throw. Drinkwater is appealing to distract the referee just in case it was a bordeline decision.
