New Training Ground Complex

Post by Longside4evr » Thu Feb 09, 2017 2:33 pm

Not seen or heard anything on if the players have move into their new multi million pound training complex yet.
It was talk about being ready for this month to move into the new facilities, I would imagine the players and staff cant wait to get stuck in to up to date facilities warm and comfortable changing rooms, (better than the ones used for match days at the Turf) everything set up for the modern era.

If it is finished then our players have the weirdest set of cars I've ever seen.

I'm sure the original completion was due to be summer 2017, but suggestions were that they were ahead of schedule, and then slightly behind the second, better date? Providing it's ready for the summer when the players come back I wouldn't have thought it matters much for the sake of a few months? It looks close on being ready from the images though.

I forget who but someone definitely said that we were looking to get in it in February.

Think Dyche has said before that they will move into it in the next pre season, rather than disrupting the players during the season.

I thought some of the offices were going to be in use from the end of this month but the training facilities will not be fully available for use until the summer.

Someone on Clarets Player (it definitely wasn't the manager) said that they hoped to be in it in February.

I can remember some things, some of the time, but I can't be expected to remember everything all of the time.

You could see my house on the webcam if that bloody training complex wasn't in the way.

I was told recently that the handover should be in March although that doesn't necessarily mean the players will move in. A March date will tie in nicely with our EPPP audit too.

Can't wait to see this finished internally. Followed progress on the camera and saw the Player video updates. I understand design limitations given location but externally it doesn't do much for me but there's no doubt we'll have 1st class facilities.

Desso pitch looking good too

Did they lose the keys to that green tractor? They've had to tarmac the bloody road around it.

Did they forget to do the cladding? Looking at the original plans it looks like they've still got that to do and they've put the car park on the wrong side.

The cladding is fully in place and has been for weeks, it's just not the colour shown on those drawings. The colour chosen, the sort of grey, was considered best by the conservation groups.

The plans were also amended, including moving the parking area to where it is now.
